Once they were done, sage plopped down on the couch with a sigh, sort of just sprawling onto his back there.

Remy smiled, crawling on top of him and curling up on his chest.

Sage spread his arms and legs so Remy could crawl up, wrapping his arms around his waist happily and nesting his nose in remys hair

Remy smiled, cuddling in.

Sage smiled too, though he jerked upwards when he heard pounding on the door and the voice of one of his father's top men yelling.

Remy spooked by the men banging on the door, alarmed and worried, he turned to Sage. "What do we do?" He whispered.

Sage sort of shooed him off his chest, peering out the windows and frowning as he thought before moving to grab a gun he'd kept hidden and slapping a load into it. "You go out the back and get into the ocean," he noted. "They can't get to you there, they don't have any boats." His scowl deepened. "I'll make sure you get there."

Remy looked up at him with big frightened eyes. "No, I can't leave you,"

Sage gave him a look that said really? and sighed. "Remy, the easiest way for me to do this is with you safe and out of the way," he noted, brow arching upwards and casting a nervous glance at the door as they started trying to break it in. "I know how to fight. You are out of your element with legs and on land. The ocean will keep you safe." Then his face softened. "I'll be fine. I'll come get you when it's clear." The door burst open then and he whipped around taking out the three men in the doorway, their heads exploding in a split second. "Go," he sort of bellowed at Remy, standing between the door and the other boy.

Remy was scared now. Nothing happened like that under the ocean. No heads just split open, guns weren't even a thing. He still didn't want to leave him. Nervously, he bit his lip, freezing and weighing his options for a second. It wasn't long before he sprinted out of the house, running down the beach. But as he was running, someone shot at him from behind. He fell down as the bullet passed right through his thigh. Unable to walk now, he continued to crawl towards the water.
