She lifted her head as West began to speak to her and a mischievous look came to her face. "Oh I am totally in," she says, "what should we do though? There is probably a thousand ways to scare him awake. Duke is a big scaredy-cat when he is not aware of his surroundings." Wither remembered when she would scare him when they were younger and wouldn't let anyone else except herself do it.

West grinned, flicking his tail. "How did you scare him when you two were younger? I don't know how he scares... so you'll have to think something up." West chuckled, glancing towards the cave, his gaze sparkling and bright. He couldn't wait.. Duke would be so flustered. Perfect.

"Oh I did all sorts of things," Wither says, "I acted like I was higher up horse in the herd which made him jump to attention only to realize that it was me.. When he was way lighter I dragged him a little bit away from the herd and forced him awake and hid to make it seem like we left him before sneaking up on him and scaring him.. Oh! I also tried to mimic other animals to scare him awake."

West flicked his tail, thinking. "Well I could still drag him away, but that wouldn't work because we have no herd." West chuckled. "Buuut... we could pretend that we left... or if we wanted to do something really over the top, we could have some fun and herd the deer back in here, then herd the, right towards him and have them wake him up... THEN hide and make him think we left." West rolled his eyes, knowing that was WAY to extravagant. "Though I am quite good and mimicking a cougar call..." He mused

Wither giggled some at West's plan. "I think it would be fun if we hide and made him think we left," she says, "then you mimic a cougar call into the cave a couple times until he wakes up. Most likely he'll come running out here yelling for us because he heard a cougar call then freak out even more when he doesn't find us." In the back of her head Wither hoped that this wasn't too harsh on her brother, but then again she knew that he would get her back one way or another.

"Sounds perfect. You'll know when I burst out laughing we can come out." He chuckled, turning and trotting away. West found a nice spot behind some boulders to hide... just the sort of spot a cougar would love. He waited till Wither was hidden before letting out a yowl... if you weren't really close by, it sounded like a real cougar. West and practiced a lot on that... it was fun Tim see what sounds he could make. Then West waited, his ears perked.

Wither nodded and galloped off to his behind a few rocks. When she heard West mimic the yowl she was shocked at how good it sounded. Inside of the cave the yowl echoed across the walls and Duke quickly got to his feet. His ears perked again as he heard another yowl. "Wither did you hea-," he looks around and sees that he was alone, "uh.. guys? Guys?!" He cautiously trots out of the cave and jumps back as he hears another yowl and lets out a shocked whinny.

West resisted laughter. Just one more. He cleared his throat silently, then concentrated, and snarled. A low, raspy, cougar snarl sound. West knew he couldn't keep from laughing much longer, so this would probably Ben the last scare... he watched what Duke did, his eyes sparkling

At the sound of the snarl Duke jumped into the air with a whinny and galloped to the water where he slipped and fell into the lake. Wither watched and bit a mouthful of grass to try and stop herself from laughing yet. Duke got out of the water and shook his pelt while looking around for the cougar. "Guys?!" he yelled, "guys where are you?! This isn't funny!"

|
West finally roared with laughter, stumbling out from behind the rock. His eyes glittered as he laughed, looking at Duke. "We got you GOOD." West crowed, his deep voice sounding very amused. He stumbled down to the bottom of the valley again, not being able to stop his laughter.
