Cass holds him closer and said " I won't let anyone or anything hurt you ill make sure of that no matter what happens I am always here for you " as she holds him close her head lays on his head and she rubs his back feeling really back that he when through all of this alone Cass then said " I know it hard and if I when the same way you did I feel like this it's okay to cry "

Sage barely took her words on, but they were comforting all the same. He let out a bitter laugh and shook his head. "No ..no it's not. I haven't cried in years. I don't know if I could stop," he took a nother ragged breath, biting his lower lip so hard it bled freely, though he didn't seem to even notice.

Cass picks up his head softly to look at him and said "well you can cry now you need to let it out I know you want to be manly but you don't have to sometimes you just got to cry " as she wraps the blood from his lips with her finger that had a handkerchief

Sage sort of just stared at her for a moment before blinking on surprise when he noticed the blood on the handkerchief. Was that...his blood? He sort of shrunk into the girl a bit more with some kind of whimper. He tried not to, he really did...but as he buried his face in her chest again he felt hot tears leaking out and down his face, no matter how hard he tried to stop them.

Cass smiles and said " shh is okay I am here " as she kisses the top of his head holding him close not caring if his head is on her chest she cared a lot about him and would do anything for him Cass said " you know you always will be my family no matter what happens " as she holds him

Sage just clung to her tighter in response to her comments, definitely glad she was there but also slightly mortified that this was happening. He wasn't sure how long he stayed there like that, but eventually he calmed down a little bit and wiped his eyes before settling back down into her arms again, suddenly just very, very tired.

Cass didn't really care if it took half of the night but as long as they were together she feel safe she smiles as he hears him calm down but she keeps hold him and rocking back and forth like she would to a baby who was crying

Sage chuckled slightly and then looked up at her. "I'm gonna fall asleep on you if you keep doing," he told her, though he didn't mind she was doing it. Not at all. But he was exhausted now...and the rocking was making him fall asleep.

Cass chuckles and said " is okay you can sleep " as she keeps doing it no matter what happens if he falls asleep she keeps a eye out for danger if need to

Sage sort of just grunted and shifted to get more comfortable. He knew he shouldn't fall asleep...he should get back to camp, get dinner going, that sort of thing. But...he was tired, and he even felt his eyes flutter closed no matter how hard he tried to stay awake.
