Anya walked a little bit away from the boy, and gave a bit of a nod when he gestured the direction that should hopefully lead them back to the castle. She wandered back after a moment to help him steady up. "I say we walk until we find a place," the girl murmured quietly. "I'm not going back the way we came. But if word got out about the rebellion then there's a strong chance other people know... if we're walking around dressed in these, people are going to think..." she trailed off slightly. She didn't know what they'd think, but she didn't trust that they wouldn't be turned in. Given, they were only in comfortable clothes from a few days earlier, but it was still more than what most villagers would wear. "I don't want us to go through that again. We might be able to find a river or something and we can filter that through... and we're gonna need some warmer clothes. We might fit in more that way," the told him before almost looking to him for approval for her ideas.

Sage thought about Anyas ideas for a moment before biting his lip and nodding after a moment. "We don't have much of a choice," he admitted. He definitely wasn't going back the way they came...that would be an awful idea. Unless they circled around widely and had a plan, it would lead to them getting caught again. "Well have to come across either a river or town eventually, if people live here there has to be water nearby," he reasoned. Then he had an idea. "We could always claim to be travelers...I'm in servants clothes, so that would make a good story. You know, we grew up together, I was a servant in your families household, you're visiting family, yadda yadda." But he agreed with the girl...they did need water, and hopefully some food, and warmer clothes. He was freezing, and the day had already warmed up a bit. And fitting in was a good idea too...how they'd get clothes or food he had no idea. Maybe he could steal something once he got a drink, and maybe they could find some berries or something for energy along the way.

Anya looked at him with a slightly cocked head as he started his little travelers plan... it was good while they were in the radius of this other village. But she still couldn't help a slightly amused smile as he explained. "I'm sure that'll work until we can find different attire," she agreed with a small chuckle. She quickly sobered up, though. "Well, we're kind of on a hill here. If we walk down the chances are that we'll find a stream or a well or... something," she told him quietly. "You'll last a couple of hours without proper food? There might be blue berries along the way, but I don't fancy stopping until we've gone through another village or two..." she trailed off slightly and felt on her wrist for a pretty little bracelet that she'd bought a good few years ago... the night she'd met Sage, actually. She didn't think she'd ever taken it off. She'd payed a decent price for it, too... she wondered why the men hadn't taken it from her. She bit the inside of her lip for a moment. "We can stop once it gets dark again. There'll be a tavern or something along the way. I don't have any money, but I could try and sell this off. It'd get us a room for the night, some food and clean clothes if we're lucky." She told him after a moment of silence.

Sage felt a sort of smile curl the end of his mouth upwards for a moment at the girl's amusement before he nodded. He took a few shaky steps before deciding trying to walk on his own would most likely lead to hurting himself and held a hand out to grasp Anyas shoulder. He decided it wouldn't be helpful if he ended up getting hurt, so he should probably make use of the girl since she was strong enough to help him out a bit. He cocked his head when the girl mentioned selling the bracelet, brows furrowing slightly. How did she still have that? "Are you sure? I don't think I've ever seen you without that bracelet," he hummed, looking at the girl with a slightly doubtful Express on his face. It was a good idea, but he figured it was at least a little special to the girl. And ..he couldn't help but wonder about the tavern. There'd only be one room, which meant one bed.....no matter, he could figure that out later. He didn't mind sleeping on the floor, either.

Anya gave a slight chuckle and a bit of a nod when he asked if she was sure. "I've had it a while," she shrugged slightly, slowing her pace a little so he could lean on her a little better. "And you're gonna need the food. I have loads of jewellery at home," she added quickly and gave a reassuring smile. It was sweet of him to be concerned, but she was more concerned about him than she was about the bracelet. "You're more important than this. Food and shelter is what we need," she told him again as she gently patted his shoulder. Of course, the item had some importance to her, she'd had it for so long now, but if it was between that and starving she'd give it up in a heartbeat. The two walked down the hill rather slowly... Anya was pretty much trying to stop Sage tripping and falling down the hill, but soon enough they did come across a smallish lake. It'd been about an hour... the hill went flat for a bit before the little lake came into view. "Finally," the girl croaked. She looked about for a well, but there wasn't one there... "This isn't going to be clean, is it?" She asked the boy with a type of defeated huff.

Sage sighed and nodded in response to the girl's claims. He was going to ask if she was sure about him meaning more than the bracelet, but he decided she'd go off on a tangent about how he was better than the charms, and decided he didn't think his brain could handle that. So, he just nodded and reached for the girl so they could walk downhill without him falling and dying...because the way his luck was going, he'd end up living but being paralyzed or something. When they got to the lake, he breathed a sigh of relief before collapsing near the bank. He shrugged in response to the girl's question and pointed at deer tracks near the water's edge. "Not as clean as your fancy castle water, no. But it's not bad...the animals drink from the lake, so it won't do us much harm. If it was bad the animals would stay clear of it," he huffed out. "How do you think I get water on a daily basis?" He drank out of the lake all the time...if it wasn't the lake it was water from the tavern, which came from a stream running behind it.

Anya gave a slight shake of the head when the boy told her it was safe. She honestly felt stupid next to him... and he probably didn't think she was overly useful either. The thought made something in her chest tighten in a way she couldn't quite describe... but it wasn't a nice feeling. Not at all. "Alright," she eventually sighed before kneeling down next to the lake and dipping her hands into it. She let it fall through her hands before nodding and sitting back a bit... it looked clean enough.

Sage chuckled slightly when Anya knelt down next to the lake. "Just clear the top layer of leaves and stuff to the side and get the water that's a bit deeper. That's the cleanest stuff," he hummed, dipping his hands into the water. He let out a slight hiss when the water touched his wrists, and half jerked back before forcing himself back down. He needed to drink something, so he'd just have to manage. He'd have to wash them off too, which wasn't going to be pleasant. The thought made his stomach churn, but he forced the water down his throat anyway. He had to drink...even if he ended up throwing up later, he did need water. And he needed it sooner rather than later, so this was how he'd have to get it.

Anya cocked her head slightly before nodding slightly. She quickly cleared off the leaves and dust from the top, then dipped her hand in and pooled the water in her hands to take a drink... it wasn't as clean as the castle water, but it wasn't likely to kill them, so she was sure that they'd manage to drink a fair bit. After a minute or so, the girl flicked some water droplets at Sage and gave a small smile. "All sorted?" She asked quietly before standing up and offering him her hands. They then started to walk again... it almost seemed never ending. They'd have to keep on going until it was dark, then settle down in a village somewhere.
