The girl rolled her eyes slightly and went to rest her cheek on the side of his head. "They wouldn't beat you up if you didn't fight them," she told him quietly. "I didn't try anything and I'm fine," she added. She could feel slight bumps on his back as she ran her fingers up his back... they were likely to be old scars, but they just seemed so... swollen. "I suppose you got enough satisfaction from breaking noses then? It must have been worth it. You haven't just rubbed them raw, god Sage, I can see your bone," she told him with a slight cringe.

Sage shrugged slightly and nodded. "Maybe he admitted. I forgot they think I'm royalty...normally they'd beat me up either way," he sighed. He let out a tiny giggle at her next comment though, and nodded. "Did you know you can kill someone by sending their nose bone into their brain," he asked, his voice probably too awed for the girl but whatever. It was a cool fact, nothing more. ..it was much more efficient to stab someone. Then he winced and nodded. "It's happened before," he admitted softly. "I told you I've spent plenty of time in those dungeons." He looked up at Anya, something flickering in his eyes that made them seem like shattered glass for a moment before he collected himself again. "I guess I've just gotten used to the feeling of chains," he hummed, resting his head against Anya again and closing his eyes wearily.

The girl wrinkled a nose when he said he could kill someone by braking their nose in. The thought made her feel ill... and she couldn't wrap her head around why he felt the need to tell ber that. "Why would you want to do that though?" Anya covered her nose with her hand at the thought of it. When the boy looked up at her again, and she met his eyes, something them seemed almost... broken... she wasn't quite sure how to explain it. "I still think it was stupid of you Sage... you should have stopped when it started to hurt," she told him quietly. "You don't need to fight all of the time," the girl whispered as she rested her cheek against his head again.

Sage shook his head and shrugged. "I do what I have to. It doesn't matter what I want," he murmured. Then he shrugged again and sighed. "Maybe. A lot of things I do are rather stupid," he admitted. "But fightings what I know how to do. It what I'm used to. I guess...I don't know....I guess it tells me I'm still alive, still....in the present." Then he wrinkled his nose and snorted. "that sounded dumb," he muttered, closing his eyes and stifling another exhausted yawn. He hated to go to sleep again, and make the girl stay up, but he really was exhausted.

Anya pursed her lips slightly and shook her head... this wasn't the time to be scolding him for fighting. He was keeping himself alive, and that, fighting was the only way he knew how to do it. When the boy gave another tired yawn, she sighed before shifting to get comfortable and wrapping her arms around him again to get comfortable. She didn't mind if he slept... she could stay up for a couple of hours until the sun came up again. "It didn't sound dumb... I get it," she told him with a soft sigh. "We'll get moving again in the morning. I don't want them catching up again."

Sage gave the girl a thankful look when she practically told him to get some rest. Words couldn't really say much, but he supposed the girl knew him enough to know what his eyes and face told her. He still felt bad for sleeping, but she'd slept for a while too, and he did seem to need it more than she did. He trusted her judgement, too, so he let himself drift off into sleep. It wasn't all that hard, really, he was asleep almost instantly...the girl was warm and cozy, and he was exhausted, bother mentally and physically. It was definitely nice to get some rest, wrapped in the arms of someone he completely trusted. He woke up a few hours later, when the sun came in through the unfinished part of the building they were in and looked up at the girl blearily.

Anya had deffinatily nodded off a couple of times in the next few hours... not for long, and she woke up at the slightest sound, but she certainly wasn't up the whole time. She was awake when Sage looked up at her, though. She gave a gentle nod to the boy, and ran her fingers along his back and neck as he became more and more awake. She supposed it was a nicer way to get him up than to just start telling him to get up and get going. She needed to get him water though... they might be able to go a little bit without food, but they needed water.

Sage knew they had to get up and get going soon. He was desperately thirsty by then, and he assumed the girl wasn't comfortable either. He was getting really hungry too, which he noticed once he woke up a little bit. He was reluctant and move away from the girl, but sat up anyway, shivering when he felt the cool morning air hit him. "we should get going," he stuttered out, hoping that walking would warm him up a bit. He also hoped he could manage to walk for a while ..they needed to.

Anya gave a slight nod before moving to stand up. She offered him a hand to pull himself up with before looking around. "We need water," she murmured to herself before looking back to Sage. They needed food, too, but the water was the most important thing for the time being. She held his hand for a moment or so as they climbed back out of the half-built barn, helping the boy over the rubble before letting him go again. "I don't know where to go..." she whispered as she looked around again. The castle was somewhere in the north... so if they went in that general direction then they should find some neighbouring villages.

Sage was grateful that the girl helped him up, and then helped him crawl out of the rubble, since he wasn't quite sure he could have managed by himself. It was a lot of effort as it was...more effort than it should have been. He was breathing rather hard after just climbing up and out, and he sat on the grass for a moment as he caught his breath a bit. Then he struggled to his feet again, huffing out a breath as he got to his feet. He swayed slightly as his head swirled, and he reached an arm out to the girl blindly to steady himself on her shoulder for a moment until his vision cleared a bit. Then he removed his hand and squinted at the sun. "I suppose we go see if we can find a farm or vendors in a village nearby. There has to be a well somewhere," he reasoned. "North is that way. The question is, will they receive us or send us back if we ask for help somewhere?"
