Kayla woke when it was pitch black out. She hunted a rabbit before but butchering it and cooking it for Gale and herself. She ate a little before bringing some in for Gale

Gale awoke to the smell of something delicious, eyes flickering open as he sat up. "What'd you make?" He murmured, standing.

"rabbit" she said quietly

"Thank you," He whispered, not wanting to wake the others.

She nodded, pecking his cheek

"How're you feeling?" He asked, scarfing down the rabbit before propping sitting back down.

"Like shit but that's not new..." she said quietly. "What about you"

"A little bit better, doesn't feel like a hundred suns anymore." He chuckled, wincing at even that.

He pulled her into his lap, arms locked around her waist as he kissed her neck. "You're mine, y'know that?" Gale murmured softly, not sparing a gaze at her as he continued.
