Anya gave a small nod to the boy when he mentioned getting ready... and she supposed he was right she'd have to start getting ready, and god knew it'd iake her forever to get anything done. Still, she closed her arm around his a little tighter for a moment as she let out a slightly shaking breath. "I suppose you're right," she murmured quietly. She didn't want to get ready... she didn't want to do any of this. But there wasn't much of a choice, not that she could see. "I'm sure you'll be there for one of his milestones... he's not been on a trip yet, or actually seen any snow... this is his first formal." She listed quietly before glancing up to him. "It just depends on what you want to see," she added with a soft sigh. She started to see guards wandering around, getting themselves ready. That meant she really, really had to get sorted now, too. "Right, I need to go get ready. I'll see you later," she murmured in a type of groan before unlatching herself from him and forcing herself to mace a move towards her room.

Sage smiled at the girl's attempts to make him feel a bit better about missing so much in regards to Att and nodded. It was true, he supposed...the boy was still very young, and had a lot he hadn't seen yet. He chuckled and nodded when Anya stood up, then reached back to grab her hand for a moment and looked up at the girl softly. "Try not to worry too much, alright? If something does go wrong it won't be your fault...you were thrown at this alone," he hummed before letting her head back to her rooms to prepare herself. He sat there for a while before sighing and standing up, heading back to the doctor's ward. As soon as he opened the door, the doctor was right there and grabbed his arm to drag him to his room, complaining about how little time they had. Sage huffed out a breath, complaining, though he allowed the man to drag him to the bathroom and shove him in. He sighed and changed quickly before sliding back out, where the doctor say him down on the chair and busied himself combing his hair and ....other things that Sage wasn't really paying attention to. The doctor left to get himself ready after that, and Sage wandered to the bathroom to go peek in the mirror, and he had to admit he was pleasantly surprised at what he saw. He did look good, he supposed. .. it was definitely a change of style, but it wasn't as flashy as he'd thought it was. It suited him, he supposed....Anya had done a good job working with the tailor on this one.

Anya made her way back to her room slowly... she'd had the castle sorted, but she had to sort herself out now, too. She needed to sort her hair out, which would take... a while. When she'd gotten back, Luther had just appeared from the shower, all dressed up. She gave him a quick grin and told him he looked good before she changed... and god, was he dressed uncomfortably. It did look good, though, she supposed. She quickly fixed her hair before wandering off to Att's room. The boy seemed so happy with his suit... and to see him like that, so playful and joyful, it made her heart flutter in a type of motherly love. She quickly ushered the boy out towards the doctor's ward... she didn't want the boy out until the negotiations were over. "Att's here," she told them with a grin.

Sage heard the door open and poked his head out of his room with a grin and wave. The younger boy ran over to him, proudly showing off his suit. Sage had no issues plopping down on the ground to talk with the boy, who after a moment plopped down in Sage's lap, much to his delight. Though, he was heavier than he'd expected...he was bigger now, he supposed. "You've grown a lot," he groaned, though with a slight laugh in his voice. Att grinned and said something along the lines of how he'd be even bigger than Luther, and sage threw Anya an amused look as the boy kept talking. The doctor came through then, and ushered Anya out the door, grabbing the boy, who lept at the chance to play with the doctor, who Sage supposed was sort of like a grandparent to the young lad. He chuckled slightly and stood up, giving Anya a wink and dramatic how. "At your service, m'lady," he giggled before pointing to the door. "we should get going."

Anya let a small smile run across her face as she watched Sage with the boy... she hated to admit it, but he was rather good with him. He'd be fine in the ward for a little while. "I suppose so," the girl sighed before forcing herself out the door. It wouldn't be long until they'd have their guests, and while she'd managed to calm down the day before, she found herself getting more anxious about it. But it'd all be fine, and she was sure of it. "I think we're all dining tonight and they're going to have their meeting tomorrow... so that my parents have some time to wear them down. You don't have to be out for long if you'd prefer it." She told him with a small smile. It was better than him sitting around, for sure. He might enjoy a bit of interaction with someone other than her and the doctor, though.

Sage chuckled and nodded when the girl told him the plan. "I'll probably stick next to ya while they get here and get set up, and then show up for dinner," he mused. "other than that I'll probably go spent some time with Att or draw." Then he shrugged and patted the girls shoulder. "Don't fret too much about this," he murmured. "Be friendly but keep in mind they could be enemies. Firm but nice." Then an amused thought crossed his mind and he grinned at the girl. "Act like the doctor. Though, maybe don't be quite as blunt as he sometimes is," he chuckled. He didn't mind staying around Anya, not if it helped her calm down or feel a bit better. Besides, if they showed up and he got a bad feeling about them, he'd let her and Luther know, and he'd stay close to them during the next few days. he wasn't sure what Anya would tell them he was...a bodyguard might not be super believable, but that's kinda what he felt like. Either way, he supposed it was fine. And if she didn't mention him, he'd be fine with that too.

Anya gave a slightly amused hum when he mentioned acting like the doctor. Well, it could work. Though, Anya was almost... too nice for that at times. Her mother could handle being a little more... firm on her behalf. "Well, I think Luther is sorting the guards out for the time being. Your first job is gonna be shaking hands on his behalf," the girl chuckled quietly. She did wonder what she'd introduce him as. He might get away with being her advisor... but if no one asked, then no one needed to know. As far as anyone knew, he worked for her family.

Sage grunted and nodded. He wasn't all too keen on sking their hands, but it got him close enough to everyone to try and get a feel for them, and why they were here. Well, why they were really here, anyway. He supposed he didn't really mind at all, having to shake hands with them, he supposed. It could be good. And he'd do whatever Anya and Luther needed him to do, so it would be fine.

Anya glanced behind her after a moment and gave a slight shake of the head. "I'm joking, Sage," she told him once she heard his grunt of reluctance. She heard voices starting to raise after a moment, so she went to peer out a window, only to see about four carts travelling from the woodlands to the road, and then about nine or so horses behind them... a look of pure worry crossed her face at the sight, and all she could do a bite down on the inside of her cheeks. "I didn't expect there to be so many..." she trailed off slightly, her voice weaving with worry. "Come on, we can go meet them at the doors," she sighed after a moment, though she'd started to bite down on her cheeks again... and soo enough the sickly metallic taste of blood ran through her mouth. It was only then when she reminded herself to calm down... and she was definitely trying.

Sage chuckled when the girl told him she was joking, though he frowned when he noticed the girl start getting more worried. "You did say a lot of people were coming," he hummed, trying to calm the girl down. "They probably just brought servants and things with them since they're staying the night." Though, it did seem odd that that many carriages had come. If this was really a peace meeting...surely a show if force wasn't the best option for them? Maybe he just wasn't familiar enough with the way higher ups acted to know better, but if tensions we're high, bringing an arm with you wasn't exactly something that said 'peace', at least in his opinion. But whatever. Nothing would go wrong, right? Well, he had to act confident... especially with Anya getting worse as time goes on.
