Harlow smiled faintly at him, pressing into the small kiss. "Okay. Thank you for... for being here." She finished quickly, lifting her head and pressing her lips to his in something almost too light to be called a kiss. It was almost childlike, as though if she did it quickly he might not notice. After, she settled back down, her head pressed against his shoulder and her hands trailing gently over his chest. Her breathing was slowing and she seemed comfortable, relaxed in his arms.

He was going to respond with some remark which he completely forgot. He was quite thrown off by the kiss she'd planted on his lips. He did nestle closer, a slight smile plastered on his face as he drifted back off into sleep. The lightning drew further away, the thunder quieting down. The raindrops turning gentle.

Harlow was surprisingly quick to sleep. She felt safe, which, for her, was saying something. The next day came slowly, still cloudy by the time Harlow blinked herself awake to find her face inches from Mark's. Her brain was sluggish, the events of the night taking a few moments to resurface. She simply watched him for a few moments and then cuddled closer into him, wrapping her arms around him gently in an effort not to touch his stitches or wake him.

Mark hadn't moved at all from where he'd fallen asleep, but apparently the small movements woke him up. He took in a deep breath and curled his arm tighter around her, his hand peaking over her waist. "Good morning." He whispered. His wounds felt a whole lot better now, tender but much better.

"Hi." Harlow whispered back, offering him a small, sweet smile. She nestled into him a little more and set her head into the crook of his neck, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes again.

He blinked awake in time to see the smile, offering one back. "How long was I asleep?" He chose not to mention what happened the night before, his chin on her head again

"In total? Almost forty hours. Last night? Ten, I think." Harlow said softly, moving so it was a little easier for him to set his chin on her head. She was tempted to say something about last night, apologize, worry, anything. But that would make it awkward. And he was so comfortable, and she was content just to stay there... forever. So she kept her silence, simply happy to be where she was.

"Holy crap." He said quietly, laughing silently, his chest moving slightly. "Must've been so boring without my charms." He said gently, teasing. He squeezed her side gently, wondering about last night, but it didn't really need to ask anything, just maybe later.

"It was. I can't say I didn't miss you." Harlow chuckled, absentmindedly trailing her fingers over his back. She smiled as he squeezed her, lifting her head so she could look into his eyes. "You know, we should cuddle more often. This is pretty great." She teased lightly.

He smiled, looking down at her. "We should totally cuddle more. You're warm." He grinned slightly, he tilted his head a little, looking into her eyes. For some reason, he leaned in and shut his eyes, placing a kiss on her lips.
