L "He didn't really telll me anything personal. I dunno what you said." She said, looking at the anxious expression on Mercy's face. They'd caught another few squirrels and a rabbit or a few- mostly thanks to Mercy-. AND a deer. Of all things. That was like awesome. That was pretty good considering what the entire damn colony couldn't catch. Everyone was about to be not starving. Edited at June 29, 2023 12:02 PM by Prismatic Cove

OOOOH WAS THERE AN INTERESTING TYPO AGAIN? DO TELL)) Mercy huffed. "Good." They advanced on the door, dropping the deer to go enter the code. "What is it again?" She asked, looking up at Laura. Edited at June 29, 2023 12:07 PM by Widow Valley Farms

No *I* was typing the first replies BUT YOU GOT THeRE FIRST)) L "Seven, four, five, one." She grabbed the deer and started dragging it in as the door lifted. L "Yknow, I really think you should reconsider the whole not dating thing. I mean, have you seen how he looks at you?"

She flushed lightly and took the deer from her, dragging it down. "Its not really a one person choice, is it? Even if I wanted to, he would have to want to as well. Hypothetically. Because, its hypothetical." She nodded firmly, looking determinedly at the white walls as though they were the most interesting things in the world. "He doesn't look at me any sort of way, what are you talking about?" She looked back at Laura with a quizzical expression.

Laura grinned quietly, Mercy was definitely confused, and so was Luke, but Luke was on pain meds- though mild- they weren't quite making him drowsy, just sedate. Ish. L "If you haven't seen it then you might wanna look a little harder." She smiled softly. L "He looks at you like he can't take his eyes off of you."

"No he doesn't." She said dismissively, the corners of her lips twitching upward as she looked down at her boots. "Does he? Really?" She asked quietly, tilting her head at Laura. They turned into the lunch area and Mercy laid the deer down beside the counter. "I think you're lying to me. Theres no way."

Laura smiled tentatively, watching all of the emotions run over Mercy's face. L "Well, he's doing it right now." She gestured vaguely in his direction. Heeee was staring at them, but mainly at her, sitting with who he'd gone with. He'd gotten distracted from the conversation. He looked away. L "Did you see that?"
