Quinn laid back in the bed and stared at the ceiling. She hated, just hated having a roof above her but in a storm like this... it was necessary. "I hope the horses are alright." She mused, fiddling with a dagger that appeared out of no where, probably tucked inside her wet pants. She chuckled slightly as she glanced at the giant pile of dresses she had emptied out. The two she left in there were the one she she packed herself... her mom could force her to get married but she couldn't force her to wear whatever color dress she wanted. Quinn knew she had to wear a dress for the wedding... her mom just never specified what color. The two dresses left in there were completely black, with dark green lacing that matched her eyes. The rest were black shirts and sweatshirts.

Sage nodded and hummed. "Those stables were built to keep the royal horses safe," he noted. "They'll be fine." The stables are nicer than his own room, which was slightly ironic, but he supposed it wouldn't do much good to complain. A flash of lightning and rumble of thunder scared him, bringing him out of his thoughts with a jolt and he flinched away from the window and practically ran back to the bed Quinn wasn't on, heart hammering. He was trying to keep himself calm, but the louder everything got, the harder it was. He was pretty embarrassed by it, but Quinn wouldn't judge him too hard for it, right?

Quinn nodded, then glanced at him as the thunder startled him. "You good?" She asked, thinking of a solution... but it would be embarrassing for the both of them. She found it funny to think he startled just like a horse.

Sage sighed and groaned with a nod, flopping over onto the bed. "I don't do well with loud noises. Or flashes of light," he admitted. "I was popped into the army pretty much by the time I could hold a sword and shield so....there's some not so great memories knocking around in my brain," he explained, a light flush of embarrassment covering his cheeks.

Quinn nodded. She understood.. thinking about her own fear. It was stupid, really but this storm was triggering it. The screaming wind made her shiver, and she felt uncomfortable, because it sounded like the sound of a whip slicing through the air. Then the wind changed, and it sounded like her shrieks of agony. Quinn sighed and put her hands over her face. She knew how to mostly solve this problem.. it just wouldn't be the most fun. "Sage, its kind of cold in here and we don't have many blankets. Would you like to sleep in this bed so we can provide each other body heat." Quinn worded it carefully, pretty much expecting Sage to say no. She was surprised she even said it... but knew it would be better for both of them. Anyway, they pretty much already slept together, just not in a bed. On the ground.

Sage was rather surprised when the girl offered her bed up, especially after he'd just admitted he had some pretty pathetic things going on inside his head. But thankfully, the girl seemed to understand, so at least she wasn't laughing at him about it. He was embarrassed enough without her saying something about it. But he had a feeling that staying in the same bed and relaxing would be good for both of them, so after a moment of silence he sort of just nodded and crept over to her bed, crawling up next to her, eyeing the window wearily.

After the extra heat was added, Quinn closed her eyes and tried to get to sleep. She obviously tried too hard, because he fell asleep within five seconds.

Sage smiled when he noticed the girl fall asleep quickly. He himself cuddled up and tried to sleep, but the storm kept him up for most of the night before he ended up driving off.

Quinn shifted, sidling into the warmth. She fell into a deeper sleep, sleeping well even though the wind made her flinch every time it rushed past the window and made a whistling noise

Sage eventually slid into the girl's warmth, and now the two of them were tangled up together under the blankets. He slept well once the wind died down a bit, and things calmed down.
