Annie giggles before looking up and see Cass and said " mommy mommy look what I made " cass walks over and smiles before saying " wonderful people are going to love it when they walk by "

Sage chuckled lightly at Annie's happiness and eagerness to show her mom the sand castle. He looked up at Cass, amusement and fondness glittering in his gaze. "She made us kissing," he commented lightly. "Forever kissing....forever happy," he murmured as he stood up, so Annie couldn't hear, though he really wasn't talking to anyone. "If only that could happen." He was talking about the happy part...not the kissing part. Though that was nice too, when it was Cass.

Cass blushes and said " ain't that sweet" before giving annie a kiss on the cheek and said " it very lovely " as she smiles before looking away and watches sage before sitting down with annie and hugs her close annie giggles and hugs her mother before laying her head in cass lap to fall asleep

Sage watched the two of them interact, sort of lost in his own thoughts for a while. They seemed so happy...and he just wasn't. He'd had a hard life, and he knew that, but...they'd had their share of troubles. And they could still be happy. Why couldn't he? He got little bursts of it here and there...but it wasn't permanent, and left him feeling more lonely and empty than before after. "I'll be back," he told Cass as he wandered off to the lake, hoping to find peace of some kind at the waters edge as he listened to it's gurgling.

Cass watches him go before feel a bit sad wondering what was going on and wondering if she should go and check onnhim but maybe he needs sometime as she plays with Annie hair and through about what she should do for see if he was okay or not

Sage sort of just...stood there for a while, until he felt like even the river had more of a life than he did. The river was never lonely....she had fish and birds and...stop thinking. He couldn't anymore. He turned and sprinted away, until he was couldn't run anymore. Then he realized he'd pretty much just gone in circles, and he was only a few feet from the river. He growled in frustration but his legs gave out on him and he sat down hard, suddenly shaky and panting and gosh how could he manage to go on like this?

Cass sighed and lays Annie down grabs her gun and when out to go find him this wasn't like him even through she didn't know him much she could tell a lot by the way she watches him as Cass looks out before noticing him then walks over and wraps her arms around him and said "what's wrong " as she wanted him to feel okay

Sage jumped when he first felt her arms around him, writhing around to try and escape someone before recognizing her voice and collapsing against her chest like a scared child, breath ragged and shaking. "Sorry...I just...my head....memories..." He shook his head, trying to get his thoughts under control. "I freak out sometimes," he settled on shakily.

Cass hold him close she never meant to scare him but she kisses his forehead and said " sometimes you can't let those through and feelings come out or talk to someone about them it would help " as she talks softly not trying to upset him more

Sage closed his eyes tightly, trying to block out everything that was making him feel this way. "I try. They invade my head all day, all night, no matter what I do," he yelled. He wasn't yelling at her ...he was just hurting, and confused, and terrified, as he always was. 'i tried that too...and that was the last straw that ended me up in prison," he said with a shudder. Prison. Beating. More images flashed through his head at that, and he curled into her more, just trying not to start sobbing.
