He opened his eyes and chuckled. "It's a very healthy baby. It's strong. Like it's mom." He couldn't help but add that in there. He might have been fighting, but what she had done seemed braver to him. |

Maxine smiled "Good..." she cooed softly "But I think its father is pretty damn strong too..." she smiled "Would you like something to eat?" she offered "I know human food doesn't do much for you but if I can keep you by me a bit longer today I'd love to make something for you..." she smiled looking up at him. |

He chuckled and shrugged. "If that makes you feel better than do all you want to do," he laughed. He kissed her forehead lightly with a small smile. |

"Will it keep you here until morning at least?" she asked gently "I just wanna wake up and see you tomorrow... then you can go hunting while i'm at work..." she said gently "I promise." she assured. |

He smiled and nodded. He could do that. Regeneration was so slow this time he didn't need to absorb any energy quite yet, and he wanted to stay with Maxine for a while. "I'll be here, don't you worry. And I'll be here when you come home, too." |

"Good" she chirped happily wrapping her arms around him and pulliing him close "Thank you." she cooed happily kissing his cheek "I'm gonna go make something then... how about we just eat here?" she suggested "Lunch right here in bed." she said happily "You more then deserve some spoiling." she giggled. |

He chuckled and nodded, happily shooing her in the direction of the kitchen. "I think that sounds lovely." He grinned at her. "I'll spoil you later once the baby bump is bigger," he chuckled. |

"Good." she cooed happily kissing him again before she got dressed "Oh really huh?" she asked curiously "I can't wait." she smiled before she headed off to make lunch. When she returned she had two omlets she handed one to Sage before she sat on the bed with the other which had the addition of some fruits veggies and chips. She couldn't help but blush at the amount of food on her plate and looked at Sage with a chuckle "I guess I was hungrier then I thought..." she admitted. |

Sage laughed and shrugged. "At least it's actual food and not energy you absorb from living beings," he joked. He took the omelet and started eating, a grin on his face. "You said you have a job...what have they said about maternity leave? How long is it?" |

"True... but I almost wonder if thats what the baby wants..." she admitted "I'm super hungry all the time... I mean I know i'm suppose to be but it seems a little excessive..." she admitted blushing a little more as she ate "I do, its that little convienience store down the street... I was on my way back from it when you found me actually." she told him. "And I have through the last month of my pregnancy with an additional 2 months off... then as long as i'm clear medically I come back on a part time basis until I can handle stocking shelves again." she nodded. |
