He wanted to die, it was a simple thought. Kayla was gone and he would die before he ever even found her, leaving a bottomless pit growing in his mind. |

He heard a voice that sounded like Kayla...but it wouldn't be her, no way. Gale sighed, attempting to speak. "Kayla...?" He tried to rasp, the sound barely coming. |

Kayla heard her name, unrecognizing in her hazy mind. "Help...Kill me..." She begged |

He forced himself up, groaning at the effort. "Kayla, Kayla!" Gale called, fiddling with the lock until it was off and he sprinted to her cell door. |

"kill me...please....just kill me..." She breathed, now realizing who it was. "Gale, please kill me... It hurts..." |

"No...I can't, i've lost you too many times. I'm not losing you forever," He said softly, hearing a shout and something flickered in his eyes : fear. |

"then I'll do it" she said shakily, looking around for something sharp |

Footsteps pounded down the hall, threatning even. "No you're fucking not!" Gale shouted, hands shaking as he picked her cell's lock. He felt around for her, putting her on his shoulder as he ran out, eyes darting around as he looked for a way out. |
