Anya sat herself down for a moment or so to catch her breath, but went to make sure her dad was up once she was a little more collected... her mother was definitely up and making her rounds, but she wanted it to be as easy as possible for the woman... to show her that she could do this. Once she'd done that she finally set off to get herself some breakfast, then went to eat outside... it was calm, and it almost seemed too calm. Like it was peaceful before things got busy... calm before the storm, if you would. Luther had tried to get her to calm down, doing her usual jobs for her, and she definitely appreciated it, but just being able to sit outside was definitely nice.

Sage wandered around for a while, passing Luther in the hallway and stopped to chat for a moment before they separated again, each with something to do on their mind. He ended up wandering through the hallways and stopping in the dining room to make sure all the decorations were still perfect. At least, he hoped they'd be perfect. He ended up just wandering around after that to look for Anya, though when he caught a glance of the queen he decided he'd better go outside. He didn't want to get in her way...the woman was loud, and didn't like him. No doubt she was fuming he was back...and really he didn't blame her. But he decided it would probably be best to stay away from the woman. If she didn't like him now, she never would, and he had to admit he was too fond of the woman himself. He noticed Anya outside after a few minutes, and wandered over to sit down next to her quietly. They didn't have to talk if she didn't want to...he had to admit that it was nice outside, and so sitting in the sun was relaxing. He had to admit, he was getting nervous himself...he was acting like a royal, and if someone found out he was of his rank, would that be an excuse for war? Everything had to go perfect, Anya had to be perfect. He really needed to stop thinking.

Anya really barely payed any attention to her food, or Sage for that matter. She'd normally burden him with questions and asks, but she just wanted to sit... just enjoy the quiet. She wasn't sure why her parents had let her organise this... she supposed it was good practice, but this was important. She wasn't sure what would happen if this went wrong, and her mother hadn't even put a word in as to how to organise herself. She was trying to comand an entire castle, and it all just seemed like a lot. She should be at ease now... she'd sorted everything out, so why on earth did she still feel such an impending sense of... doom. Her chest seemed to tighten, and she almost found it difficult to breath as every moment went past... and the more she thought about it the worse it seemed to get.

Sage sort of sat there for a while, content with the quiet, though he soon fell the girl tensing up next to him and he glanced over at her. "You're tensing up," he murmured. "Try and relax a bit," he hummed. "Think positive." He knew it was rather difficult, and he was jittery himself, but he also knew a nervous Anya would make mistakes...and that wasn't good.

Anya almost jumped at the sound of Sage's voice... really, she'd barely noticed when he sat down. She'd been so consumed with everything else going on, even though she should be settling down now that everything was sorted. She was just so worried that something would go wrong. But the more she thought about it, the worse it would get... so she just had to put her mind on something else. It wasn't her making the negotiations, so she didn't need to worry. The decorations were just to make the other kingdom feel a bit more welcomed, that was it. The was no reason to stress. "Sorry," the girl whispered, though she still looked a little zoned out. After a moment she sighed and placed the tray down next to her. She did wonder if Sage being there would cause an issue... well, it shouldn't. There would be about a dozen other people who weren't involved in the issue, so with any luck, no one would even notice. She just wanted him to represent their kingdom well, and while he wouldn't be talking to anyone, he could do that by dressing up a little bit, which he said he'd do.

Sage sighed slightly...the girl didn't need to apologize, but it made her feel better then so be it. He shrugged slightly, and let the girl apologize if that's what she felt like. He did wish she wouldn't worry so much, but he supposed he couldn't blame her...if any little thing went wrong, a war would start, and she'd be responsible. Although, he himself would blame the current king and queen...they didn't help her out at all with this, and they probably should have. It was good practice for Anya, but still, he didn't like the way it all happened.

Anya was quiet for another minute or so before she took a deep breath, though her chest still felt like it was twisting. She wanted to calm herself down a bit more... so that she was relaxed when their visitors showed up. She pulled her knees up to her chest, trying to get a bit more comfortable. She looked towards Sage after a moment but gave a tired smile. "I like your hair," she murmured. It didn't look like he'd taken a lot off, but it still looked pretty good. "You look a bit more refined now," she told him with a small smile before resting her forehead on her knees wearily.

Sage was content to sit there for a while, though he gave the girl a small smile when she mentioned his hair. "It'll amused you to know the doctor was waiting when I got out of the shower with a comb and scissors," he hummed. "And then sat me down and spent the next two and a half hours on my hair." He rolled his eyes slightly, though fondly. He liked the man...he really did, though he wasnt really happy he had sat around like that for so long. Seemed a bit... excessive. But even so, the man did it in a fond way, and he had to admit, the hairstyle wasn't bad, and it left it long enough for him. He just looked better. Mysterious, maybe. He wasn't sure, and he didn't really care. He did appreciate the effort though.

Anya smiled softly and rested her cheek on her knee. "Good on him," she hummed softly before glancing at his hands. "God knows you wouldn't have done very much with it," the girl noted with a bit of a chuckle. "Looks like had you trim your nails too," she noted with a slightly bigger smile before gently reaching for his hand and kind of inspecting it with an amused huff. "It's about time... they were longer than mine." Really, Anya was just trying to get her mind off the things that were causing her worry... which was a lot more than it should have been. And trying to talk to Sage about something, anything, seemed to help at least a little.

Sage chuckled and nodded, glad that they could get relaxed enough to joke around a bit. He supposed just taking would help calm nerves, of the girl if nothing else. "He threw the file or whatever at my head and refused to let me eat or sleep until I trimmed my nails," he noted with amusement. The old man must like him, if he noticed the nails and thought to make him clean those up too. "I ended up having to take two showers yesterday, so you'd better be thankful," he teased the girl lightly, nudging her a bit with his shoulder since they were close enough to do so. He barely touched the girl though ..it was only a light prod, really. Playfull. Though the girl still had his hand, so he supposed she wouldn't mind him touching her.
