Kayla woke the next morning, whimpering in pain
| |

Gale was gone--not a single track or trace he had ever been there.

wtf bro) Kayla sat up quickly, panicking. "Gale? Gale?" She called, tears streaming down her face as she shot up. Her body screamed at her to collapse in pain but she panicked and cried. "Gale!"

(mwa hahahahaha) Gale was lost-really lost. He'd lost sight of the sun over a hour ago, and was now seeing buildings in the distance. When all of a sudden, he heard his name called. Loud. Raw. Scared, even. He shot forward to the screams, noting Kayla's tones as he took a wrong turn, then another, and by then, the screams were silent. Lost to him as he was to them.

Kayla curled into a ball, the abandonment hitting harder than she'd expected. After a few hours of crying, the tears stopped and her eyes slowly dulled. "He didn't want me...I was right all along....He left me..." She breathd shakily

Gale called out her name over and over, voice growing hoarse.
| |

Kayla heard her name but pushed it to the back of her mind, drowning. "They're all the same... He never meant it when he said he loved me...never...men never do..."
| |

"KAYLA!" He shouted, loud as he could.
| |

"Go away..." She muttered, not meaning it. "Gale!" She screamed, trying to find him so she could yell at him
| |

"Kayla..." He breathed, running to the sound before bustling out of the trees, scratched and cut up. "I...I got lost while hunting."
