Kayla missed three times, hurrying to track the buck she had set her sights on, and finally shit it on her fourth try. She dragged it back to Gale, easily processing it and starting a fire |

Gale was still asleep, exhaustion taking over. |

Kayla cooked a bit of meat, ate, and woke Gale. "Hungry?" She asked |

"Yeah,...thanks." He said, taking the meat and eating. |

Kayla nodded, watching the fire. She sat close- likely a little too close -but it was mesmerizing. She reached out, a small flame licking her finger. She didn't feel pain and smiled |

Gale didn't mind her, just ate and thought. |
