Celeste nodded, "I know," she grumbled

Sage sighed and shook his head. Then, he sucked in a breath. "Celeste....do you still have my file? The one that was given to you when you were instructed to kill me?" That would give them information about his mother, who he knew nothing about, as well as other things. Maybe something would hold a clue.

Celeste froze up but nodded. That was a time in her life she didn't want to go back to. She didn't want to think about all the people she killed. Celeste nodded, "yes, I still have it," she breathed, going to her bag and pulling the black letter out.

Sage nodded when she mentioned she had it, gently taking it from her when she pulled it out of her bag. He knew she didn't like thinking about her past....but this could be important. He peered through it carefully, eyes widening as he pieces things together. "Am I reading this right," he finally asked her after a moment, sliding it over to her. His mother had the same name as the queen....but how could that be right?

"Sage... you're... you're her son," she breathed.

Sage sort of sank into his chair, mouth agape, mind whirling as he tried to figure out what that all meant. "But....why kill me? My family," he asked, shaking his head

"I dunno..." she breathed, going over to comfort him.

Sage sort of furrowed his brows, biting at his lower lip again as he thought. This was all so confusing, and a lot to take in

Celeste stayed silent, unsure of what to say.

He sighed after a moment or so, just shaking his head. "Well we know why she's trying to kill me more or less. The question is how do we stop her?"
