Anya chuckled and gave a bit of a shrug when he asked if she was planning on feeding him to her guests... of course, she wasn't, but it was rather amusing. "You never know," she hummed. "Don't think I'd be able to get you big enough in time, though," the girl teased before patting his chest and gesturing for him to go. "The chefs will be busy for the next few days so you'd better stock up on snacks. We're only getting three simple meals a day while they're getting everything ready, and I'm not sure they're going to be amazing," she told him with a a bit of a groan.

Sage chuckled and rolled his eyes at Anyas response, and of course blushed when she patted his chest, even though it wasn't really a romantic anything, he just always got so flustered. He patted the girl on the shoulder as he walked past her, nodding and shrugging when she mentioned the chefs. "I think I'll manage," he hummed. "Don't worry too much, it'll be fine. You're doing great," he chirped, giving the girl a grin and thumbs up as he slipped out the door. He wandered over to the kitchen to grab an armful of snacks and then skittered back to the doctor's ward, welcoming the peace and quiet. No one had been rude to him or anything, but he still just preferred being alone unless it was with a good friend or two. "I'm alive, don't worry too much," he told the doctor as he passed. "Wonderful, just what I need," the doctor grunted, though Sage knew he was rather fond of him, so it was more amusing than anything.

Anya gave a small smile and a thankful nod to the boy as she left, obviously very grateful for his help... she wouldn't have done nearly as good of a job as he'd done. She supposed that was just because Sage was artsier than she was. She wasn't very good with colours or decorating... god, it was a good thing she wasn't allowed to pick her own outfits, otherwise she'd most likely be the laughingstock of the royals. Once he'd gone the girl stood to look at the dining hall again, then went to the little chest under the window and pulled out a couple of rather similar-looking bits and bobs to put out in the halls before going to her herself something to eat... god, she'd most likely forget to feed herself if she didn't eat now.

Sage nibbled at some of the food for a while, and really he had more of an appetite than he had in a long time. Maybe it was because he was doing something other than just sitting around, he wasn't sure, but it did feel nice to be tired and a little bit hungry because he'd been working hard. It didn't take long for him to collapse back onto the bed though, and fell asleep rather quickly. He slept for quite a while, and it was actually really nice. He woke up once, then rolled over and went back to sleep, since he didn't quite feel like getting up again. Edited at January 3, 2023 02:05 PM by NightClan

Anya went to grab herself some food, along with a small bowl of peanuts for Att... Luther would have already made sure the boy would have eaten, but the child liked to snack and liked the peanuts. It was getting a little bit darker out, so she could read him a story and put him to bed while she was at it. She did feel bad about not spending much time with the boy, and he probably felt somewhat like Anya did when she was his age, and that was something she really, really didn't want for him. She didn't want him to feel isolated the way she had... that'd led to her sneaking off and putting her life in danger so many times. Once she'd gotten the child happy and asleep, she eventually managed to get herself back to her own room where she pretty much crashed... she was definitely worried about how things would go, especially without her mother overseeing everything.

Sage woke up again around midnight, and key around for a while restlessly. He couldn't fall back asleep, so eventually he got up and decided to just go for a walk through the gardens. He'd had enough sleep for now, and while he was still tired he just couldn't fall back asleep. Maybe a walk would help. At the very least, he wouldn't be laying around so bored. The hard part would be getting past the doctor...the old man knew all his tricks already, so he had to be careful or he'd wake up and scold him. He didn't really mind, but he just needed to do something right then. He wandered around for a while before he'd thoroughly exhausted himself again and staggered back to his little ro, completely crashing once he got back to the bed. He was a bit cold, but even so he didn't even take the time to bury himself under the covers. And he would stay here unless Anya needed him again for the hallways or whatever...all she had to do was come ask him.

Anya didn't really sleep... she was exhausted, she was, but she was also so, so worried... Luther had tried to calm her nerves a little, told her that it'd all work out just fine, but it didn't do much for her. She just layed in bed until the sun started to come up, before she practically sprung up and got herself ready. She still had a fair bit to do... and if she was lucky her mother would make an appararance. She'd need Sage to put a bit of his touch on the halls... just so that the boy could make everything look somewhat similar. It was still early, and everyone seemed to be sleeping... she supposed that Sage would be too, but she just wanted to get this all done so that she didn't have to worry about it later on. She made her way towards the ward and quietly snuck into Sages room, trying not to wake everyone else up. He still had drawings on the floor, so she quickly scooped them up to place them on the side... though, she did find herself looking through them... they weren't exactly the most pleasant things to see. She could speak to him about it later, though. She pursed her lips before placing them back on the side before gently patting Sages shoulder and trying to get him up. He was cold to the touch... but she supposed that was what happened when you chose not to get under the covers. "Sage, wake up," she whispered quietly.

Sage stirred and groaned slightly, batting the hand away weakly. "Five more minutes Liz," he groaned, still half asleep. Though, when he heard Anyas voice, he let his eyes flutter open and he blinked up at the girl tiredly. "It's morning already," he muttered with a yawn, before sitting up and running his eye with his palm. "You seem energized," he noted in a sort of amused tone of voice, even though he was still half asleep. Really, he'd be half asleep for a while...he wasn't a morning person and Anya knew that, so she'd just have to put up with that for a while. He stretched and rubbed his arms, trying to warm himself up before sighing and reaching for the jacket the doctor had left on the chair and curling up inside the warmer clothing.

Anya furrowed her brows ever so slightly when he thought she was Liz... but she wouldn't say anything about it. He still seemed tired, and she knew how disoriented you could be once you'd just woken up. She groaned when he curled back up again inside the warm clothes, and gently tugged at his sleeve. "There's a lot to go and I want to get it all done today," she told him with a small sigh. She did know he wasn't a morning person... but she didn't want to wait too long to get things started again. "Sage, please," the girl complained quietly, though she was still tired herself. She didn't really want to annoy him like this while he was still getting better... but he could rest later on.

Sage yawned and nodded, waving the girl onwards towards the door and walking after the girl groggily. "Ok, ok, let's go," he murmured, padding along behind her. He left the shoes on the floor by the bed...he wasn't really a fan of shoes, and he really didn't feel like putting them on. So he was fine to just walk along in socks for now. (Short lol)
