Captain said " should I hope there would be a wedding to.go to " Caden said " Captain you not here to question me about my love life so get on with it or shut up " Captain looks at him in shock before saying " okay fine Kennedy can I have a moment alone with Caden " before he stares away from them and out the window waiting for a reply from Kennedy

Kennedy rolled her eyes at the Captains tease "You should hope your funeral ain't soon if you don't shut up..." She grumbled quietly to herself before looking at Caden with a small smile as he also told the Captain to shut up. As the Captain spoke she brought her gaze over to him and nodded slightly then looked back at Caden "I'll be right outside if you need me... and I'll be back in as soon as your done" Kennedy whispered to him softly with a small smile before standing up "Okay, just don't be too rough on him" She said firmly giving Caden one last glance before walking out of the room

Caden watches her walk out before turning his glaze to captain before they spoke about the case his case caden told what he knew but nothing about what happened he always said I don't remember I don't even remember calling the cops and captain sighs through out it before he walks out and said " Kennedy if you can get anything about the case out of him that would be nice since you a detective and all and your his parnter so help me out " as he walks away with out another word caden was up and looking out the window playing the shooting in his head over and over

Kennedy waited patiently and a bit anxiously out in the hall as she was worried about Caden. When the Captain came out she pushed herself off the wall as she listened to him "I will try my best sir" She said before he walked off, once he did she went to the door walking in quietly to see Caden at the window. Kennedy quietly closed the door and made her way over to him, wrapping him in a gentle hug from behind as she didn't want to hurt him. "You okay?" She asked softly

Caden place his hands on hers and said " yeah I am okay " as he smiles as he looks out before sighing and turns to look at her before saying " I want to get out of here this place is not for me " as he looks down hospital never fit him and he never liked them so even if he had something happen to him he was always out on the same day or the next

Kennedy kept him in a hug as he spoke, even if he said he was okay she still worried about him. She finally released him from the hug so he could turn around then she looked up at him with a small smile. "I know.. but don't worry you'll be out of here soon" Kennedy said while bringing a hand up to his face and brushing his cheek gently with her thumb "Just a few more days and you will be out of here" She said softly, she really did hope that it would be like that since she missed him so much at work and while he was here it just stressed her out

Caden looks at her before sighing and said " alright but I have to stay here for a week I am leaving I got better things then this place " as he lowers his hands her waist before leaning in and softly kisses her lips again since he really didn't care if the police knew they were in love with each other but he sure hopes the person who shot him won't come for her either

Kennedy nodded her head "Okay, that is understandable. I don't think I could stand you being here for a week either" She said before moving both her arms to wrap around his neck so they weren't near his wounds and deepened their soft kiss. Kennedy really didn't mind if people knew about them, she just hoped they wouldn't tease just like how the Captain did.

Caden smirks in the kiss before letting her get a breather but he leans his head against her forehead and said " damn you got me lady and I do what ever you say " as he looks her in the eyes and holds her close he had his pain medication on that he didn't feel any pain mostly

Kennedy couldn't help but smile feeling his smirk as they kissed, when he pulled back her breathing was a bit heavy but not super bad. Kennedy leaned her head back against his and chuckled at his comment "You got me too, hook, line, and sinker." She said with another chuckle while looking him in the eyes "Well if you will do whatever I say, then I say you need to lay down and rest again" Kennedy said softly before stealing another kiss from his lips
