Anya watched Sage rummage around and fire question after question at her... she didn't mind, but of course she was a little stunned that he actually seemed so exited to get this done... or rather, determined. "The dishes are white and navy," she told him as she peered over his shoulder. "And our colours are blue and gold... so that's what we're wearing," she hummed before answering the rest of his questioning. "Their colours are green." The girl was admitted a little amused by his sudden interest in the decoration. She knew he was artsy, but she also knew he had a rather bitter taste towards her and her family... or, rather, royals as a whole. And she couldn't really blame him. They could put on a front, but they weren't really nice or good people... and she wasn't much of an exception. She didn't mind the help, not at all, but she was a little bit... much. For her, at least. "Sage, I don't need you to do everything," she answered with an amused chuckle. "I'm happy to do this with you, and I do trust that you'll do a good job, but we do need to work together," the girl told him in amusement.

Sage grunted and nodded, thinking through the options for a moment before wrinkling his nose slightly. "Navy and gold go well together, and green goes with gold, though not really with navy. Of course, your colors would be predominant, but we need some green added in to make it seem like you actually care..." He was just rambling on to himself now, talking this out a bit, if you will. He took the blue sheet Anya had and looked it over carefully before pulling it and some other larger decorations out to the side. He'd use those for sure...he could get the big things up and then work on the little ones. He looked over at Anya when she spoke up again, blinking slightly as he registered what she'd said. Admittedly, he'd kind of forgotten the girl was there he'd been so invested in this all. He grinned and shrugged, though, and chuckled slightly. "I know, I know," he told the girl. "But it's not everything and you still have a bunch to do. And I swear, I'm going to get this done right because no one else in this castle seems to have any idea of color. Have you seen the outfits these people wear? It's astonishing what colors they throw together. They look like dying rainbows," he huffed. The girl could do what she wanted .. stay and help, though he'd probably do better on his own, or she could go get other things done while he worked on this, and she could check in every now and then. It was really up to her, he supposed.

"Dying rainbow..." The girl just looked at him with a growing smile when he went on. She did kind of get the feeling he'd rather just get this done by himself, which was fine, but it was a big room, and she didn't really want him putting tarps up by himself. They were heavy, and well, the ceilings were high. He was also built like a stick, and if he fell while putting them up he'd most likely snap. Or maybe that was her just mothering him the way she would Att. She had found she'd been a lot more... scared of things since the boy had came into her care. Worried that everything would go wrong, and that something would happen to him... he'd been presented to the public as a prince, which meant people knew both she and Luther saw him as a son. Which also meant they'd pay extortionate amounts to make sure he stayed out of harms way. She supposed a lot of royal parents had that issue... people were always quite literally trying to steal their kids off of them, and who ever had taken them could ask for a hell of a lot of money to get said child back. She glanced Sage up and down and gave him a slightly amused look. "You're not much of a rainbow yourself, Sage," she hummed, gesturing to his own outfit. Really, it was just servants rags, so there wouldn't be much colour other than, well... brown. She hummed in thought as he mentioned the green before going back in to the little box and pulling out massive ribbons, each one a deep forest green. "You could do something with these... maybe hang them up in the corners. Just make it look smart. I can help you out the tarps up then I can go... I kind of get the feeling you know what you're doing," she told him with a chuckle before glancing up around the room, which had been pretty much cleared out that morning.

Sage snorted in amusement at the girl's remark about him being a rainbow. "Well at least my clothes match," he grumbled. Then he nodded and set the ribbons the girl had handed him to the side before dragging the blue tarp over to where he wanted it, gesturing to Anya to follow. If the girl wanted to help, that was fine, but he did find himself a bit relieved the girl was pretty much just leaving him to it once she helped set the tarp up. Once the girl had wandered off again, in maybe fifteen minutes, he busied himself crawling around hanging ribbons and tarps and setting things up in a way he saw fit. Really, the whole things was like an elaborate garden scheme that matched with the things they had already put in some of the hallways, as well as the gardens, which you could see when looking out the windows of the room. Eventually, he even decided to have some of the guards drag in some huge planks of wood and paint in order for him to make the walls a bit more .. decorative. And, once the celebration was over, they could always drag the wooden boards away again. Within a few hours, maybe four or five, he was really just adding the finishing touches on some things. He was definitely more colorful, since he had paint splattered all over him, but he felt good, and the dining hall looked amazing. At least he thought so. It was elegant, and held all of the colors he needed, as well as some simple designs that made it look so much better than a bunch of random decorations thrown together to try and make them look good. Once Anya and Sage had fought with the tarp for about twenty or so minutes, Anya went off to sort everything else out... the hallways, the garden, and the courtyard. Tarps had been thrown from the window, and the yards and court had been sweeper until spotless. They'd also had about five stables completely mucked out and re-bedded, along with a completely cleared field for their horses. Everything looked smart and organised, and as a whole... she was happy. Luther's suit and her dress should be there the following days, hopefully with enough time to make sure it all fit... these meetings were normally just banquets with a chat towards the end, so it was a bit of an excuse to dress up... she'd even got Att a tiny dress suit so he could come along for the first half of the dinner. Well, all the royal children would be there, not for long though. Just with enough time to eat and then they'd go and do whatever their parents had told them to do. Once she was all happy with the way the castle looked, she made her way back towards the dining hall... she had to admit, she was curious as to how Sage had gotten on... or maybe she was more nervous. She trusted that Sage didn't have so much hate towards her as to completely destroy the place, but she'd have to find out when she went to see it. She closed her eyes as she poked her head through the door, and when she opened them, they almost lit up... he'd definitely done a better job than what she'd expected. She wandered up behind him and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, along with a huge grin on her face. "Wow, Sage!" She chirped, as her eyes darted around, "It looks incredible," the girl told him, eyes bright as she let her hand flop off him, only to find it to be covered in wet paint. "What did you use paint for?" She asked with a cocked head and an amused chuckle.

Sage was looking around to see what else he could do to make it look any better. He knew the little details, like the way the curtains hung, or the lighting in the room, could make the room look so much better or worse. He half jumped when Anya put her hand on his shoulder, though he'd heard her come in, so he didn't really know why that had scared him. Well, no, that wasn't right. He wasn't scared. More like she'd just broken him out of the trance he was in. He looked over his shoulder at the girl and grinned with a chuckle. "Quite a bit," he hummed, rather amused at the girl's astonishment. "Though it can all be taken down. It's really just random wood planks I had some guys bring in I painted over." He was glad the girl liked it though... hopefully Luther and the queen and whoever else was in the room would also like it. Though, he didn't need them to know he was the one who did it. In either way, he was tired now, so he should probably go take a shower and lay down before the doctor dragged him back to the ward. But he had a few more minutes to look around and talk.

Anya gave a slight nod and took another glance around the room before trying to wipe the paint back onto Sage in a kind of playful manner... though, it didn't quite work, because rather than wiping the paint onto Sage, she rather just got more of whatever was on him. She kind of groaned before looking at him in an almost suspicious way. "Have you been rolling in it or something?" She teased quietly before giving a slight pout as she looked at the bits of paint which was pretty much... well, everywhere. It definitely looked good, though. "It's all better than anything I would have done," she told told him in a relatively upbeat tone. It was true, too... she'd never seen him do anything but draw, so she supposed that was a part of the reason that she was a little bit surprised by this all.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. He whined in protest when the girl tried to wipe the pain back on him, wriggling away with a kind of playful giggle. He felt a light blush cover his face when the girl complimented him, and he shrugged modestly. "It's not much different than drawing," he admitted. "Just slightly messier. Though this is bigger than a piece of paper too," he hummed. Then he yawned and rubbed his eyes, though it left a smear of green paint on his cheek that just added more paint to his appearance. "I'll shower later," he promised the girl lightly, knowing she'd want him to clean up and get decent rest after this. His side was a bit achy, but nothing that was really bothering him, so he was fine.

Anya nodded slowly and looked around the room with a bit of a refreshing smile. "Only issue I have now is that the rest of the castle doesn't match too well," she sighed slightly after a bit of a break. She did need to tie the dining hall with the rest of the castle somehow... but they had a couple of days to do that, and they'd already gotten the bulk of it done. She furrowed her brows when she saw him yawn... he was still prett weak, so no wonder he was weary. She gave the boy another soft smile and a bit of a nod. "Food first," she told him with a thoughtful hum. ".And I'll grab you some clean clothes once you've done that," the girl chirped with a grin.

Sage chuckled and groaned when the girl mentioned eating. "Again with the food," he whined. "What are you trying to do, stuff me and feed me to your guests when they get here," he huffed, though all in play, really. He snorted at her other comment though, and shrugged. "We have a few days to decorate everything else. We'll be fine," he told the girl. "But I suppose I'd better go eat before I fall asleep in the kitchen," he noted in a rather amused voice. He'd enjoyed decorating the dining hall, and if course he was going to make sure the rest of the castle looked just as good for when their spoiled guests arrived, but for right now, a nap seemed like something he could deal with. In fact, it sounded very nice, and the more he thought about it, the more he just wanted to curl up and fall asleep, though Anya was right...he did need to eat something. He'd been working hard and climbing around like some kind of monkey, so he did suppose he needed something to regain energy. Sleep could only do so much.
