Anya wrinkled her nose at the boy with a small chuckle, "really? I never knew," she teased, shaking her head ever so slightly. Once they sat down, she kind of half punched Sages arm and point to his food, signaling for him to eat. Really, she did think he was being quite good with his food... but it was going to become a running thing from now on. Just to be annoying. "I've only ever seen him cut you open, so it's a bit for a shock to see you interacting," she chuckled quietly before offering the doctor one half of a sandwich she'd picked up, not too sure if he'd eaten anything either.

Sage groaned and made a face at Anya when she told him to eat, though of course he didn't mind the girl's teasing. Her and the doctor were pretty similar, in his opinion, though the doctor was much more stoic than the girl. Which he didn't mind, not at all. He chuckled at her next comment and shrugged, alibet a bit sheepishly. "So maybe I get hurt a lot," he admitted. "But that doesn't mean that's all I do," he giggled. The doctor snorted at that, almost choking on the bite of sandwich that was in his mouth as he chuckled. Sage made a face at the doctor, though amusement glittered in both their eyes. He supposed he was pretty similar to the old man too, when he thought about it.

Anya could only giggle at the doctor as he nearly choked... she pretty much had the same reaction, only, she was a little more contained with it. "Hmm?" She asked with a cocked head, "What else do you do then?" She question curiously. Really, they were only teasing... but she was also a little curious as to what he did in his spare time. If he did anything other than draw or walk around. There wasn't much more to do... but he had to have some sort of hobby, right?

Sage snorted at Anyas response...in all honesty, he didn't do very much, at least not right now. If he did anything other than wander around and draw, and eat decent meals, the doctor would have his head, and then there wasn't much use of having a doctor to fix him up. He shrugged and grinned sheepishly, nibbling on another bit of food. "Not much right now," he admitted. "Mr. Stick in the mud says I can't overexert myself yet," he hummed. The doctor raised an eyebrow at that, and responded with, "yeah, well, this stick in the mud isn't sewing you back up again if you break yourself after I told you not to." Sage couldn't really argue with that, so he grunted and made a face at the old man before turning to Anya and shrugging as if saying 'what can you do'.

Anya gave a slight chuckle as Sage continued the undirected teasing to the doctor... it really was like watching a dad with his son. "Well, I get that. He doesn't need to be wasting his skills constantly fixing you up again... that's not what he's here for," she hummed with a teasing grin. She obviously didn't care what he did, and she knew the doctor would always look after the boy, wheather she'd asked him to or not. She glanced to the doctor and gave the man a small smile. "I give you permission to refuse him if you so please," she teased lightly.

Sage snorted at Anya's first comment, then put a hand over his heart and gasped in mock offense when the girl told the doctor he could refuse him. "Nah, you both like me too much to let that happen," he giggled, resulting in a ferocious snort from the doctor. He giggled at that and grabbed another bit of food to nibble at before pushing the plate away and resting his chin on his arms, which he set on the table. The doctor had finished eating by then, and patted them both on the head as he walked past, no doubt going to do whatever jobs needed to get done. Once the doctor let Sage do more, he'd probably help the old man out...maybe not necessarily doing medical stuff, but he could certainly do other menial chores or help hold someone down. Heck, he knew how to stitch someone up, too, or clean wounds. He sighed once the doctor had left and shook his head. "Wish I could help the old man out around here, rather than just sit and draw, but he won't let me do anything," he murmured.

Anya grinned to the doctor when he patted them on the head before looking back towards Sage, a slightly curious look on his face. "Once you're better he might let you give him a hand," she hummed quietly. "You're more than capable to help out." She told him with a small smile. "And I'm sure if you bug him enough he'll give in," she murmured with a soft sigh before taking his plate off of him and standing up. "That's the kind of thing that normally works. I probably have some work stacking up, though, so I should probably go." She hummed before clocking her head and giving him a small smile. "Get some rest... or whatever you do," she chuckled before giving him a wave and turning off to put the plates away again.

Sage grunted and nodded. "Hope so. I don't like sitting around doing nothing when there's so much to get done," he sighed. He was healing quickly, hopefully he'd be fine enough to help out soon. He chuckled and shook his head in amusement when she mentioned bugging him until he gave in. "Yeah, that or hell kick me out for good," he chuckled. He nodded when Anya mentioned leaving, and yawned at the thought of resting. Ok, so maybe he wasn't quite as healed as he liked to think. But still, he wanted to do something. Although, a nap did sound pretty good right about then. He waved to Anya as she left, and then crawled into his bed, collapsing into it with a small sigh before closing his eyes and falling asleep almost right away.

Anya dropped the plates off back in the kitchen before making her way back towards the office. She remembered when everything used to just be brought to her... she wasn't too sure when that stopped. She didn't mind, though... actually having to get up and get her food forced her to stop what she was doing, so that she wasn't getting her head stuck in her work. Once back to her little desk, she found that someone had left another pile of sheets for her. Well, she was never really out of work... but it was nice to have a bit of a break. She sighed before starting to go through the sheets, signing them off and writing return letters for the ones that required it. She came across a small envelope, though, sealed with red candle wax and the crest of a few kingdoms over... a kingdom that they weren't exactly on the best terms with. She gave a bit of a groan before forcing herself to open it, quickly reading through it, only to find that they were seeking to visit the castle, or discuss some sort of peace treaty, with threats of war if the king and queen refused. She quickly spoke to her mother about it, who'd been at her own table in the corner... the woman simply nodded her head and gave her a date, then told her daughter to start preparing the castle... making sure everything was in order and that they could accommodate the other kingdom if needed. Anya just nodded her head and started to write up a reply before having it sent out... she'd have to deal with the preparations in the next couple of days.

Sage slept for quite a while, not even noticing when the doctor came in to drape a blanket over him, and then appeared back in his room a few hours later to set down a plate of dinner down on the side table. When he did wake up, he nibbled at some of the food, though he stayed laying around. He was still tired, and it wasn't like he had anything better to do than lay around. Eventually, he started drawing again, though it was just the view outside his window, since he didn't really have any other ideas. He sighed and set it to the side after a while, more bored than anything.
