(that works lol! The rebellion could be pestering g this other kingdom too so they have a meeting to try and figure it out but something goes wrong and they get kidnapped then maybe.) Sage chuckled and nodded, shrugging and sighing when she asked if he was coming with. "Personally, I'm more than content to stay out here but I'll get an earful from the doctor if I don't come back for lunch," he hummed. He stood up and brushed the grass off of his trousers and patted Chaos goodbye before starting to walk back to the castle with Anya.

(We can do that, yeah!) Anya wandered with him to the kitchen, where she grabbed a plate for herself and handed another to Sage. "Yeah, and imagine how impressed the doctor would be if you brought your own food back," she hummed with a smile. This seemed familiar, in a way. It was strange, and she still wanted to yell at him... but there was a few moments where she'd felt like things hadn't really changed. That it was just yesterday that they'd been running around the village and the woodlands, just having fun. It was nice, really.

Sage snorted out a kind of giggle at Anyas comment, taking the plate from Anya. "Maybe he'll have a heart attack and then I'll be the reason you don't have a doctor," he chuckled. "That would just about be how my luck would go," he hummed in a sort of joking and amused tone. He was glad that they were able to just have fun again...he'd missed the girl, pretty much as much as he missed Lizzie, if he was being completely honest. Things had definitely changed between them, but it wasn't necessarily a bad change...they could still go screw around together, and while he found he still loved the girl, it had turned into a sort of love where he felt like a brother more than anything else. Like he should be the girls personal unofficial guard, along with Luther who was a bit more, well... official he supposed. But the girl had two attack dogs ready to leap into action to protect her...and he'd protect Luther too. He didn't have to, he knew that, but the guy was a bit like a brother to him, too. And he was ..well... sometimes a bit slow to react to things. Sage was more used to jumping into a quick starting fight than the other boy. But at least it gave him something to do.

Anya's eyes widened slightly at the idea of the doctor dying off... the man had been apart of her life since... well, forever. Sage was only joking, and she knew that, but it was a very real fact that the doctor wouldn't last forever, which was... scary. The man was almost a father figure for the girl... for everyone who resided in the castle. "Maybe," she hummed, flashing him another smile. "But the chances of you needing him again are... high, so break it to him slowly," she chuckled in amused tone. They made their way back to the ward, each with a tray in hand. She walked just behind Sage, kind of looking over him for a moment. She was looking for something... but she wasn't sure what. He looked the same, and really there was nothing different in the way he was acting... but it just seemed like something was missing in him. Or maybe something was missing in her. She didn't know, but it was an odd feeling, and one she tried to shrug off.

Sage shook his head and chuckled. "I think he can take pretty much anything," he hummed. "The man's tougher than he looks." He was content to wander along ahead of Anya, and found himself wondering again about what the girl was thinking. It was odd, he had to admit that, when he thought about how crazy their feelings for eachother we're. And are. And....well, how they'd changed. (No worries lol) Anya blinked once or twice when she heard him speak again, obviously a little confused for a moment before she gave an almost shy chuckle. "He's ancient. You eating... well, that might just tip him over the edge," she murmured with a small smile. She went quiet again as her face kind of morphed into a more curious expression. She wondered if he was thinking the same thing at all... if he thought it was strange the way she did. What he was thinking and feeling... but in truth, she didn't have the guts to ask.

Sage snickered and bobbed his head up and down in a sort of nod. "I think it'll take a lot more than me eating a meal to bring the old man down," he chuckled. "But ancient is an understatement. He was probably here before the castle. The castle was probably but on him," he giggled. "That just means I have the wisdom to boss you around, boy," the doctor spoke up from the corner. Sage jumped about three feet in the air and squeaked, before sticking his tongue out at the man with a huff. The doctor snickered and clapped Sage on the shoulder as he walked past. "Age before beauty," the older man hummed, resulting in a snort and eye roll on Sage's part.

Anya jumped a little at the sound of the doctors voice... well, she wasn't sure why she was surprised. They were right around the corner from the ward, where the man always seemed to linger. "I'm not sure I can agree with that," she hummed before following Sage and the doctor through to the ward, where they settled on a small table in a corner. She didn't mind eating quietly while Sage and the doctor had their little round of banter. It was nice to see... the doctor seemed happy, and as did Sage.

(no worries lol) Sage turned back to Anya once the doctor had moved on, a sort of twinkle in his eye. Anya looked rather amused by the whole situation, and he chuckled slightly. "What," he all but giggled. "Hes not all serious grunts and cutting people open," he hummed in a rather amused tone of voice. He liked the old man, that was for sure...and the doctor seemed to like him too. Or rather, he was just as willing to put up with Sage as Anya and Luther, which probably meant he liked him. Either way, he enjoyed the old man's company, even if he was a bit annoying at times...he was sure that was mutual.
