Sage chuckled at the girl's comment ...she was probably right, he was never the thickest guy out there. Luther definitely had the advantage of being soft and cushiony for Anya. The thought was slightly amusing, so a soft grin grew on his face as he leaned his head back on the stallions side. The horse turned his head around and huffed a soft breath in Anyas face, smelling her hair before turning to Sage and nudging him. Sage chuckled and reached over to stroke the horse, though he kept his eyes closed.

Anya rested for a little while, eyes closed and really just enjoying the quiet... the castle was so busy, and she always had things to do. It wasn't very often these days that she got to just... relax. After a little while, she found herself forgetting that Sage was even there... in that strange stage of being between sleep and consciousness. She did reminded herself that she was laying on a horse, though, and it wasn't particularly safe. Her eyes fluttered open again, though she knew it couldn't have been too long. "How are you feeling? Any better at all?" She whispered softly, her voice sort of airy with sleep. She realised she hadn't actually asked that... just kind of assumed he was fine because he was walking again... but that might not be right.

Sage was more than content to lay there without talking...the soft breaths of the horse and the nice temperature combined with the sun made for a very relaxing time. He'd almost forgotten Anya was even there, so when she spoke up he had to think about what she'd said for a moment. Then he shrugged and hummed thoughtfully. "Guess so. I mean, I can wander around without constantly stopping to catch my breath," he informed the girl. "My side doesn't hurt so much either, so I figure I'm healing up just fine. The doctor doesn't seem to have any concerns."

Anya gave a soft nod before covering her eyes with her hand in an attempt to shield her eyes from the sun. It was good the boy was feeling better... he'd normally taken so long to get better, but she supposed the doctor had been staying around the boy a bit more... taking a bit more care for him, she supposed. "That's... good. You look a lot better, for sure," she hummed quietly before shaking her head. "Well, better compared to when I found you in the streets," she added with a quiet chuckle.

Sage chuckled slightly and shrugged again, though the girl couldn't see it. "Well, it doesn't take much to do that," he hummed in a rather amused tone of voice. Really, all she had to do was clean him off a bit and he'd look better, but he did feel better, and he supposed he looked much better too. Decent food and sleep would do that, and they'd found clothes that fit him, so that helped too, he assumed.

Anya gave a bit of a hum as a reply before sighing and getting comfortable again. It was quiet... and surprisingly, it wasn't awkward. Well, maybe a little, but once she'd gotten comfortable, the girl was happy enough to sit quietly and just kind of take in the soft breeze and the warmth of the sun. She was happy that Sage could forgive her for lashing out the way she had... taking something he said and completely turning it around on him, it was frankly an awful thing to do. But, hopefully, they could go back to the way they'd been before things got messy. Back to just causing trouble the way friends would.

Sage was glad that the girl no longer loved him. Well, it hurt a while, whole lot, but at least they didn't make it awkward. If the girl still loved him, it would have been so much harder to act like he no longer cared for her. At least this way he could be her friend, and still mess around with her and Luther. He could keep it that way, too, knowing that the girl was no longer interested in being anything but friends with him. But the things like this...just relaxing with eachother...that was what he'd enjoyed most when he was with the girl. So really, nothing much had changed. They just weren't lying and fooling everyone else about their relationship. And, that did make him feel better too...he didn't like keeping a secret from Luther.

Anya sat quietly for a little while, just taking in the surroundings. The sun, the breeze, the sound of the grass as it swayed, and Sages very presence. It was so strange to have him back. She really thought he had died, that he was gone, and yet he was right in front of her, living and breathing. It such an odd thought. She'd loved him at some point... she'd loved everything about him, but right now all she could feel when she looked at him was... well, pity. So why did she want to scream at him? Scream that she'd missed him, about how angry she was that he'd actually left her like that. She'd already done that, though, it was still just eating away at her. She wished she could sit there with him, without all of this bubbling back up... but it was, admittedly, difficult. She didn't know how he was so alright about it all. Still... she could sit there and try to relax again. She didn't want to feel like that every time she was around him, and the only way that was likely to stop was to spend more time with him, to almost fight with herself about it.

Sage did wonder what it was like for the girl...to see someone she'd loved so much and for her to fell nothing towards them. It had to be a shock, and the emotions she'd felt with everything that had happened were probably more confusing than whatever he was feeling. That was partly because he didn't allow himself to feel things the way she did, but he did wonder what the girl was thinking.

Anya eventually opened her eyes again, though she kind of stared into the sky, watching as the clouds rolled past. Her eyes darted around until she spotted one that looked like a small line of animals... she remembered spotting one that looked kind of similar when she was a kit, and it kind of brought some daja vu over her. She glanced to Sage with a bit of a smile before pointing up at it. "Look at that," she hummed quietly before looking back up. "It kind of looks like some sort of herd, don't you think?" She asked with a cocked head, really just trying to ge sime form of conversation going. The quiet was nice, but if she stayed silent for too long she'd just get lost in her own thoughts... and that wasn't a good thing.
