"Everything else sucks though, can't feel my neck, or my leg." Gale breathed, voice still ragged and quiet.

"At least you're not in pain, really" SHe muttered, not looking at him

"Still am, they broke me..mentally. Feel like ass right now..." He trailed off, fighting off another wave of pain.

He squeezed her hand, the wave of pain stronger then him. Gale's grip tightened to almost as tight as he could get it, a new light sweat on his body.

Kayla's eyes snapped shut at the pain

Gale eventually realised and let go of her hand, tipping his head back against the tree as his body tensed.
