Iris found herself slowly, very slowly, inching closer to him. Whether it was from the cold, or the fact that she felt safe, comfortable, and important when she was close to him, they were soon almost leaning against each other. Finally Iris gave in and rested her head on his shoulder, still looking up at the night sky. The good food, gorgeous view, and perfect company made this one of the best nights of her life so far. She hoped it would never end.

Caden felt the familiar weight of a head rest on his shoulder, half expecting it to be Carmen before remembering it was Iris. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, half pulling her closer, half not. A waiter came and silently took their plates, leaving the bottle and glasses behind as Caden sipped on his. "Honestly, think tonight might just be the best night i've had in a while."

Iris accepted his touch, shifting a little to get into a better position. She noticed the waiter and felt self-conscious cuddled up like that, but she didn't mind all that much. She looked up at Caden at his words, smiling softly. "I was thinking the same thing (--"cuz like, I've been searching my whole life..." no? No Frozen lyrics? Okay fine lol). Though," She added, "It is a little cold." Not cold enough to move from her position however, so she stayed there. She hoped Caden wasn't too cold in his sweater.

(to find my own place, but then suddenly i bump into you but with you [but with you] ive found my own place [i see your face] and its nothing like ive ever known beforeeee xD) "I mean, if anything i'm hot in this, and with the air blowing on us." He noted, gesturing at the feedback warm air. "Do you want this? Don't want you to be cold," Caden asked, willing to give up his sweatshirt.

("Love is an open doOor, love is an open dOoOor, life could be so much more with you [with you!] with you [with you] love is an open dooOooOor." <3 XD) . Iris rolled her eyes at his comment. "You need to stop offering me your sweatshirt. I'm fine, really." The warm air from the vent was closer to him, which explained why he was warmer than she was. Any chill she felt while looking out at the city dissipated when she looked at him anyway, so there was really no point.

(<3 my roomates doing that musical right now so i know every.single.word. :') "Hey, just offering. I could totally just leave you to freeze but, didn't, offered it and you declined so..." He teased, chuckling. Caden looked over at her, glad she was still up against him. The man's tattooed arm still resided on her shoulders, the swirls and markings of ink stark against his skin even as the light dimmed.

(Oh I love musical theater! It can get very annoying when you're with someone who's doing it a lot though, lol. I totally get it XD Plus Frozen is just great in general lol) . Iris scolded him playfully. "Now, what good it be for you to take me out to dinner and then let me freeze to death? Not very gentlemanly of you." She rested her head heavily on his shoulder. It was strange, she was both exhausted and completely awake at the same time. She was tired after a good meal and a long day, but willing to do anything since Caden was there. His arms on her shoulders gave her a shiver, but not from the cold. ("Something is familiar, like a dream I can reach but not quite hold." Now I'm moving to Frozen 2 lol)

"I know, I know, very rude of me." Caden mused sarcastically, attempting to keep his shoulders still since she had her head rested on one. He let out a breath, leaning into her for once. The man grabbed his glass, finishing it off before yawning.

Iris smiled but didn't reply, having no other sarcastic comments at hand. She felt Caden's weight leaning back into her and her eyelids fluttered. She yawned too, covering it with her hand and apologizing afterwards. "That food was so good. Never had a salad like that before," she admitted through another yawn.

Caden smiled tiredly at her comment, nodding. "Must've been, still have some on your face." He mused, brushing it off with his finger before flicking it away. "Good thing you did, just released it along with a dozen or so things, The man yawned again, tired as heck. "I'd say it's about time we head back, yeah?"
