Sage nodded and moved to pack up the rest of their things while she took care of the fox, allowing her to slide the new packs of meat into the bag once it was done and grabbing Liz while she put out the fire. "Ready," he asked, and when she nodded he moved to climb out of the cave, cradling Liz tightly.

Sage managed to climb down without too much effort, waiting at the bottom for Elara to join him. Once she was on the grass again, he started walking again, wandering along happily next to her.

Sage felt his eyebrows raise in surprise when he dropped the hare off. "That's useful," he noted, cocking his head slightly as the wolf ran off again. It would save them a lot of time and effort if the wolf could do some of the hunting for them, especially while they were on the go.

Sage nodded, humming in agreement. "How'd you train him to do that anyway," he asked after a moment, cocking his head curiously

Sage chuckled in response to her comment, nodding along. "Smart animal then, I suppose," he noted with a shrug. "Maybe he just adopted a pack," he noted thoughtfully. It didn't seem like the animal had one, and wolves were social creatures.
