Ariadne took in deep breaths, fighting exhaustion, an aching headache, and now the urge to lay down and sleep where she sat. She glanced back at him, comfortable in the silence as they emerged from the tree lined path. "I'm sorry about that." She said simply, hoping the vague apology could cover whatever he felt she needed to apologize- but really, she meant the whole hurling event a few minutes ago.

Tadhg adjusted his bag as she apologized. A smirk crossing his face. "You look like you are worse off than me." He pointed out that she still looked pitiful and his end had seemed to wear off quickly. He felt the sun's heat return as they left the shade. Suddenly remembering why he took his shirt off to begin with.

Adne rolled her eyes at the comment, giving him a look from the corner of her eye. "Thanks. I hadn't noticed." She huffed, rubbing at her forehead slightly as they moved toward the manor. The walk was shorter, and they were almost halfway to the back door.

Tadhg simply laughed quietly, letting the silence take up the rest of their walk. She didn't look like she wanted to hold a conversation anyway. He sped up a little to open the door for her, swinging it open gently but with plenty of room for her to pass through. He stepped in and shut it behind them. The house was cooler, a wild change in atmosphere when their steps turned from soft thuds to echos.

Adne rolled her eyes playfully at his laugh. It was nice to hear- something infrequent at the Thorne manor. She dipped her head to him in a half-hearted nod as he opened the door for her, stepping through and seeming unphased at the temperature change. She made her way into the main lobby and toward the grand staircase, glancing over her shoulder at him. "Feel free to fo whatever you like. I would hate to hold you captive in my deplorable company." She mocked, blowing out a breath as she reached the top of the stairs and going for the library.

The elf crossed his arms as she offered her home to be open. He didn't really have a response, or know what to do. They were alone basically, in her manor. He didn't know what to do alone in someone else's ..house. He'd call it a home if it wasn't so much. Period. There was a lot. He shuffled around for a moment. Apprehensively following her.

Adne made her way to the library, a little confused when she heard his footsteps still following hers. She glanced over her shoulder and gave him a puzzled look, then simply entered the library- lit with natural daylight by the large window seat across the room. She made her way to it- it was about half as wide as a large bed, but could fit two people lengthwise. She settled on the corner of it, curling up and glancing outside.

The elf simply tipped his head a little as she looked back at him. Once inside the library, he split off and started to examine the runic and engraved books for the first time. He'd read quite a few. He came across one that was unfinished that he's seen it, and pulled it down. Flipping through the pages with glimpses of memories he'd read not too long ago. Not in his own language, but fortunately this was a tongue he knew. Just standing there awkwardly holding the leatherback in his hands as reading from where he left off.

Adne studied the land beyond her window intently, eyes drifting over the landscape thatw as the manor grounds. She studied the almost nonexistent goings-on intently, glancing at him over her shoulder and watching him flip through a book. She eyed the awkward nature and shifted slightly in her seat to stretch out, grabbing a familiar book in an older, almost dead language to start reading.

Honestly he may have moved to find a seat more comfortable but it felt like he would lose his place and forget how to read if he moved too far. So instead of embarrassing himself because he couldn't bring himself to remove his eyes from the book and bashing into shelves like a blind man, he sat down on the ground, crosslegged. Lost in translation, considering it wasn't terribly easy to read, translate, imprint and enjoy a book all at once.
