Mercy nodded and shook her hand. "Glad Luke introduced me." She raised her eyebrows at the 'rough night' comment and crossed her arms. The semi-compliment calmed her down a bit. "Well, I can assure you I am perfectly capable of hunting." She said, directing her words more toward Luke than anything, sounding just... a little bit hostile. "Yeah. Sounds good. Has Luke found his own trainee yet?" She asked, addressing Laura and not Luke. Her brain was giving her all the messages of 'run away from any possible awkward confrontation', and so she heeded it.

Laura nodded in wait for her approval. Then at the question she looked at Luke, he nodded. L "Yes, he does, and he should be going." He rolled his eyes at her urge. "Fine fine. Good morning by the way Mercy." He stood up. "You two take the eastern side, please." He backed away with a small smile, dropping it as he turned away to find his own 'apprentice.' Dutch tried to follow him but Mercy would need all the help she could get for that hangover, pointing him inthe other direction to follow the two girls. L "Shall we? I've had experience with guns, my dad was military and taught me a bit- how to shoot pistols. And sometimes he hunted and took me with him but I've never hunted hunted." She said as they walked toward a hallway. L "We have an armory to the left also,"

Mkk)) She had chosen to start working with a handgun, something she hoped would be familiar to her before they moved onto rifles, then bows, Mercy's personal favorite. She was leaning against a tree, looking down at Laura. Sam would only be around three years younger than her... Mercy shook her head and looked off at the forest to try and get the thought to go away. "So, since you know pistols, we're going to start with them. Now, pistols are usually a last resort for any kind of hunting, seeing as they just arent as efficient as a bow or a rifle, and it's much easier to be less accurate. But I want to start you out on form more than anything, so thats the goal here. You already know how to fire and aim your pistol?" She asked quietly. She kept her near the door to talk, since there wouldnt be many animals around there anyway.

Laura wasn't too much smaller than Mercy, around 5'4 with dark shoulder length curly brown hair that was in a ponytail at the moment, slightly pointed ears and a lithe figure. She watched with hazel eyes, listening intently. She nodded. L "My dad always used a bow because its the quieter option and guns can leave messier trails and or taint the meat." She stood up straighter, checking the safety and pointed it away from Mercy, her right hand on first with her index off the trigger, laying beside it, and her left hand over top of that. L "Its been a bit but this is what I remember."

"Thats pretty damn good form. Your dad taught you well. But just having a weapon and knowing how to aim isn't really enough. You have to be able to actually find an animal. Sometimes that means tracking, and sometimes it can mean waiting. But you also have to be quiet. Go ahead and walk around for me, and try not to make any noise." She instructed, watching Laura in a calm, almost disconnected way. Everything in her brain was going wild, and her head ache was... not helping. She didn't like teaching children. It reminded her far too much of her brother. The best way to stop herself from thinking of it was just... staying back. Keeping her distance and just doing what had to be done.

She nodded, pursing her lips as she walked around. L "Feels like a fuckin' talent show." She murmured, though slightly amused by such as she snuck around. She was stepping toe first- in a kind of reverse moonwalk(Kit's words not mine). It stopped any aspect of stomping and she was averting most crunching by careful foot placement where most debris was not. "Am I sneaky enough?" She asked in that teen voice she used earlier, walking back to her.

"Good enough for me. If you ccan do that and you can do it quickly, thats all you need. Now, lets start with actually finding something. Usually, if you wander around for long enough without sounding like an elephant, you'll find something you can shoot. Ill teach you to track a bit later, since its more complicated. Now be quiet and be aware, if you see a chance, take it. It could be a squirrel, deer, rabbit, anything. Just get something." She nodded to the North. "Lets head this way and see what we can find." She said, walking side by side with her silently into the denser part of the forest, bow in hand. Her eyes were always flickering about, mainly watching for Misted.

She nodded, tracking didn't seem like it was gonna be too much of a pain in ghe ass but she trusted Mercy. As much as someone you met five minutes ago could be trusted. She followed Mercy, letting the older one lead. She was focused on pointing the gun at her side, walking where the ground was clearest and staying alert.
