Sage closed his eyes and sniffed the wind, surprised when it carries Lisa's scent to him strongly - she was no more than a block away. He took off running, knowing that she was worried about him. He didn't know how long he had been gone, but he knew it was at least a few weeks based on the climate difference. He was eager to see her...he had missed her so, so much, and he had been dead. Not that he was alive the ache in his heart seemed to grow knowing she was so close and he wasn't there yet. He skidded around a corner and paused to catch his breath and then he saw her and a smile light up his face and he fell into step next to her. "Let me get those for you," he said as he took the nads from her hand gently. |

Maxine was just going her own way when she heard a voice, in the back of her mind she knew the voice... But right now she was scared had they found her? What would they do to her and her baby? Who was this? What could she do? She wondered as her grip on the bags tightened. When she whipped around and met Sage's eyes the bags she'd been holding so tightly dropped out of her hands and she looked at him in disbelief as she covered her mouth and nose and her eyes welling with tears "S-Sage?!?!" She cried. |

He smiled gently and opened his arms, wrapping his arms around her tightly. He knew it had probably been hard while he was gone, so he was more than content to let her cry it out if she wanted to. "Took me a while, but I promised I would come back. So I'm here." He had plenty of new scars on his torso and neck where Roxie had grabbed him, but he didn't care about those...he was just so happy to be back with Maxine. |

Max practically lept into his arms burying her head into his shoulder and sobbing "It's been so long..." She whimpered "I was so scared... And worried... I didn't know if you couldn't get out o-or what..." She whimpered "Oh my god I'm so glad to see you..." She cried as she sobbed into his shoulder. |

Sage felt his own eyes welling with tears and he tightened his arms around her. "It just took a while because i was getting my ass kicked supernaturally instead of normally." He made that somewhat into a joke, keeping a light and uncaring tone...he didn't want to make it seem like he regretted it or was upset about it or anything. "You have no idea how glad I am to see you again," he whispered, his voice breaking slightly from all the emotions welling up in his chest. |

"I don't care... You're here now." She said with a sniffle before she pulled away slightly and kissed him "You don't know how happy I am to see you either..." She cooed gently wiping his tears and her own away with her fingers "Come on let's get you home... I've got a little place not far from here..." She said "Then I can show you something..." She cooed gently looking at him her gaze was warm "Oh... I've gotta get the runes I found off the walls before you can come in..." She murmured gently "But I'll let you in." She assured "I promise." She nodded. |

He chuckled and nodded. "That sounds good." He grabbed the bags she had dropped and grabbed her hand with his empty one. "Roxie won't be back for a while. You're safe from her." He was impressed that Maxine had the idea to put up runes in their house to keep demons away...it was really smart of her. |

Max smiled and did the same taking him back to the little apartment building she lived in "Okay... I just wanted to be prepared... I even got this one on my wrist to hopefully keep myself from being found easily outside of the apartment..." She said showing him the crescent moon tattoo with the rune in the middle just outside the moon "Just to be safe..." She said "I'll be back in just a second..." She assured him going inside. After about 10 minutes she returned and nodded "You should be able to come in now." She told him. Compared to her old apartment this place was small... 1 bedroom 1 bathroom and a small kitchen and living area... Where paintings once were she had scraped through the runes she'd painted on the walls. "Are you okay?" She asked looking for any sign that the runes were effecting him... Granted she didn't know how they affected demons just that they kept them out... She hoped she wasn't hurting him. |

He looked around the house, taking it all in. Then he heard her ask him if he was alright and nodded. "I'm linked to you so it kinda cancels it out." He shrugged. "It was a smart idea to do that. I'm impressed." He sat down on the edge of the bed and continued to take everything in. "How long exactly was I gone," he asked suddenly. He should probably get that information. |

"Oh okay..." She chuckled before putting her groceries away and joining him in the bedroom. At his question she chuckled lightly "I can show you... Well kind of." She chuckled taking off her cardigan and her tank top leaving only her chest covered, from the front she didn't look much different but when she turned to the side there was an obvious bump not a big bump but she no longer had a flat tummy "It's been about 3 months." She told him gently. |
