Nate held her against his chest.

"I hurt, I'm burdening you, I'm not a good mom right now, Hunter needs me, you need me, I'm losing hope, Nate. I really am." She said, choking on sobs

"You're not burdening me, baby, you're just sick, this will pass, okay? You'll get better. You're a wonderful mom, you're doing your best, Hunter still loves you so deeply, I still love you so deeply,"

She just cried into his chest until the water cooled, making her shiver

Nate lifted her out of the tub, wrapping her in a warm towel and holding her close.

"I love you" She breathed

"I love you too," he whispered, kissing her head.

She stayed against him

Nate held her close.

She started crying again
