Anya sat and played around with Att, and Luther for a little while before the younger boy started to complain he was hungry. Anya shooed him off to get some food from the kitchen, leaving herself sat with Luther for a couple more moments before sighing and standing up. "Come on," she murmured before making her way towards the kitchens, Luther wandering at her side. He looked at her intently for a couple of moments before shaking his head. "Are you going to tell me what's up or not?" He asked with a cocked head. Anya looked thoughtful for a second or so. She didn't really care if Luther knew, but she did have a feeling he might get a bit more upset if the boy knew she'd manged upset Sage. "Sage and I got in a bit of a spat," she murmured quietly. "It was my fault, but I do feel like I've disappointed him a bit," she glanced to Luther again, a half smile on her face... a sad one, really. "Do you want me to talk to him?" Luther asked with a bit of a frown. Anya hummed before shaking her head... if Sage wanted to talk to her, then he'd ask for her.

Sage himself lay around for a while until he got bored. Which, admittedly, wasn't all that long. It was much longer than before...but then again, he wasn't starving to death last time either. Whatever, he was bored, and he felt like at least that was a bit of his old self coming out. He looked around for a moment before grabbing the drawing things and checking to make sure the doctor was fully engrossed with his notes before slipping out of the room and laboriously making his way down to the gardens. He needed outside, and at least it was somewhere he could sit and think and draw. It would be nice. He sort of went around in a way he wouldn't run into anyone and then slowly (and painfully) made his way down the paths and to the gardens, where he collapsed into the first bench he saw with a wheeze. He'd exhausted himself again, but this felt better than the exhaustion before...at least he'd done something other than cry this time.

I was thinking we could maybe do a bit of a skip? Maybe a couple of days when the sits Anya and Sage down to sort things out? Otherwise this could be a little slow lol. Lmk!) Anya had knind of zoned out at Luther's question... she didn't mind, Luther could do whatever he wanted, but she didn't think that him getting involved would do this much good. Maybe Luther could try and cheer the boy up, because she had quite obviously failed to do that. Luther nudged the the girl a little, just to pull her out of whatever little world she'd gotten herself into. "What? No, don't do that," she murmured with a slight shake of the head. Luther just shrugged and wandered into the kitchen, picking up the ready made plates for the two of them before handing one to Anya. "I mean, whatever you want. You can't keep on resenting him forever."

(lol yeah I was thinking the same thing) Sage sat on the bench for a while until he caught his breath and then pattered over to a patch of grass that was in the sun. It was warm and cozy, and it was definitely a nice place to sit and draw, and enjoy the nice weather. Without dying, if course. He spent most of his time there after that, and a few days passed where he didn't do much other than sit in the garden and draw. He was sure people knew he was out there by then, but no one ever bothered him. He hadn't really seen Anya, though Luther and Att had stopped in every now and then. The younger boy knew exactly where to find him if he wasn't in the ward by then, and he definitely didn't mind the child's company. It was nice, in fact, and he gave the boy some tips on sword fighting while he drew. He'd given the boy the wooden sword, much to his delight, though he didn't know if he'd showed Anya or Luther yet.

Anya busied herself with work over the next few days. She tried to spend what time she could with Att, but he had Luther and disappeared every now and then anyways. She didn't know where the boy went... but he came back happy and safe so she didn't have much concern for him about that. As long as he was safe. She hadn't exactly tried to see Sage... she wasn't sure if she really wanted to yet. She hadn't been fair to the boy, and he didn't get much of a chance to talk before she'd left. But, she did feel bad about it. Sage had been through a lot, and she'd managed to turn it around from comforting him to shouting at him. She wasn't even really sure how she'd gotten to that point. Whatever, it didn't really matter anymore. She just needed to keep her head down... stay focused on whatever work she had thrown at her.

Sage had started to calm down a bit as time went on. Apparently the time to just sit and draw in peace, with the occasional interaction with Att or Luther had been good for him, since he was no longer jumping at the lightest touch or noise. Att could come barging into the clearing yelling and waving his sword around, and sage would just chuckled. Then again, he did that every day, so it was expected. He did kind of want to talk to Anya, but the girl had avoided him, and the other few times he'd tried to talk to the girl, she'd just ended up yelling at him rather than listening. No matter what he said, she got mad about, which he didn't really need right about then. But Att didn't judge, and Luther was really just a bigger version of Att, if he was being honest. He'd gotten closer with Luther, though he was heasitant to get much closer to the other boy...he'd seen how getting close to Anya had affected his life. But either way, the way things were now....with Att running around and him drawing the boy playing and occasionally correcting his form, it was nice.

Anya worked away for a long while... really, having something to put her mind on, so that she wasn't just bubbling up inside the way she had been for the last few years. Maybe that was where he anger was coming from. The fact she'd never let herself get so upset about Sage, and the more she'd thought about it the worse her upset had been. When she thought about it, she'd never actually shouted at him when he was living in the castle before... she never wanted to upset him, she'd worked so hard to have his trust, his care and love, and she really just didn't want to loose that. She didn't about that so much now, so she could get away with being a bit... harsher with him. After a while of just sitting at her desk, the girl forced herself up for some food. She wasn't sure when the last time she'd eaten properly was... maybe about two days back. Hell, maybe she'd gotten herself too into her work... well, whatever. If she got it all done in one go, that gave her more time to spend with Att, and that was all she really wanted as of then.

Eventually, Att tired of running around with the sword and plopped down in the grass next to Sage. He patted the boys leg with a chuckle, then went back to his drawing. Att fell asleep after a while, which was a bit nice to see...he still looked a lot like he did as a baby, and Sage felt tears welling in his eyes again at the thought. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly to the boy, wishing he'd stayed with him to raise him. He went back to his drawing again after that. He'd carry the boy back to the castle once he was done with the sketch, if he was still asleep.

Anya wandered towards the kitchen, where she found Luther sitting on the counter and talking to the cooks... who, really looked like they just wanted him to leave. "Aren't you meant to be training?" She asked the boy with a cocked head as she grabbed a plate. Luther chuckled and shoved a slice of apple into his mouth before grinning at the girl. "Probably," he hummed with a smile before jumping off of the counter and ushering the girl out of the kitchen. "Where's Att... Luther, you're meant to be watching him!" Anya complained after a moment. Luther just grinned at her again. "Don't worry, he's out doing his thing. It's not like he can really go anywhere," he hummed lightly. "But he's four! Luther, he can fall down stairs, run into doors..." Anya was quite clearly worried about the boy... but Luther just seemed to find it funny. "He's not going to run into doors, Anya," he chuckled, "someone will be watching him," he murmured gently, patting the girl on the back before speaking up again before Anya could say anything else. "What've you got planned for today? I feel like so haven't seen you all week," the boy observed as they wandered along the halls. "Nothing, really... I've just been working. You know like you should be? I had a note on my desk to go see the doctor this afternoon, and I'm not too sure what that's about but it's better than putting my signature on everything," she noted, walking into a smallish parlour so they could eat. She didn't know why she was going to the doctor... he wanted to have a word with her about something, but that was just about it.

Sage sat there for a while, until he'd finished the drawing he was working on. He looked down at Att, who was still curled up against him, head resting on his leg and smiled softly. He wished it could be like this forever, but he knew it couldn't. "You would have loved Liz," he whispered, brushing a stray strand of hair out of the boys face, fingers lingering on his cheek. "You two could sword fight and run about laughing and drive me crazy together." He let out a laugh and shook his head. "Stay strong, buddy," he murmured before slipping his drawing stuff into the little bag the doctor had given him and put it over his shoulder, crossing his chest. Then he gently maneuvered the younger boy so he could pick him up and stand up with a grunt. His side would get a bit sore after a while, but carrying the boy wouldn't do any damage, especially not almost a week after the surgery. The boy wasn't too heavy yet, and he was gaining his strength back, do it wasn't an issue. He wandered back to the castle slowly, taking in the sunshine and slight spring breeze happily.
