Att looked thoughtful for a moment before jumping up on the bed and pointing at him as though he was holding a sword. "I'm gonna be a knight!" He yelped before jumping off the bed and jumping around as though he was fighting someone. Anya chuckled slightly before shaking her head, "he says he's going to be the best in the kingdom, don't you Att?" Att grinned and bounced over to the girl and started playfully punching her stomach. It didn't hurt, though, if anything it was tickling her. "I AM going to be the best!" He giggled before jumping back on Sages bed. "I'm going to be better than you! And Luther!" He squeaked before bouncing around in the end of his bed excitedly.

Sage watched the boy jump around, a grin on his face as the boy ran around the little area. "Will you now," he hummed. "I look forward to seeing that happen," he told the boy, though really he doubted he would still be around. But he'd seen the boy at this age, and he was... wonderful. He was still just as giggly and happy and cheerful as he was when Sage was caring for him. The boy had gotten a laugh out of him...a true laugh, one that hadn't come out of his mouth in a long time. He enjoyed the boy being there, and was happy to interact with him...he still loved him, too...he supposed love for a child, a kind of father's love he supposed, wasn't going to be dampened by time. Though, he still loved Anya, but he supposed he'd just have to get over that.

Att nodded his head exitedly, though he wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying now, rather just jumping around and pretending to fight some imaginary person. Anya just watched with a grin before grabbing the boy as he was in mid air. "Careful or you'll end up jumping on Sage," she chuckled lightly to the boy who'd started trying to attack her. She giggled slightly before starting to attack the boy back, but rather in a tickling manner, which just got the boy giggling even more. The boy settled after a few moments, just bouncing on Anya's lap exitedly. "He's wanted to be a knight since he first watched Luther training... it's adorable," she chuckled lightly, giving the child a grin.

Sage chuckled and watched the boy run around wildly, kind of trying to keep him from falling off the bed as he ran about. "Well, I'm sure he'llake a wonderful knight," he chirped. 'he certainly had the energy for it," he chuckled. "Does he still wake up early and stay up through the night at all?" He remembered never getting sleep overnight when the boy was a baby....but surely he'd sleep at least a little bit more.

Anya gave a small chuckle before shaking her head. "He sleeps through the night then wakes up early," she smiled and poked the boys ribs, making him squeal in laughter. She let him go again, and he just started running around. "When he's up he never really stops," she smiled again before looking up to his bed again. "He always has to be doing something, doncha?" She asked the boy, to which he just grinned. The child was really turning into a wonderful person... he was upbeat and kind and thoughtful... it was impossible not to love him. Well, she thought so at least.

Sage chuckled and nodded. He'd thought that was how it would go. "I think he stole all my energy," he joked, knowing that when he was healthy, he was the same way... constantly moving. Not in the same way as Att...the younger boy was much more excited energy wise, and ran around playing. He was more like a coiled spring...not physically moving other than a leg tap or biting a nail or something, but moving about a lot mentally, constantly ready to leap into action. Now, though, he was just tired...he wondered if he'd ever get the fire back that was the main part of his character. He was such a different person now...he wanted the old him back. Really, he wanted the old everything back, but that would never happen

...Lizzie was gone, Anya had moved on, and he was no longer the fighter he once was. Maybe he could rebuild himself, but it would take time....time he didn't know he'd have. The queen certainly wouldn't be happy to have him back here. He'd saved her life, though the woman didn't seem to care at all. And if he was being honest, even if she did come visit or thank him...what would he say?

Anya nodded slightly before shaking her head. "You used to be springy too, didn't you?" She asked with a slightly reminiscent smile. She'd missed that... she missed him, when she thought about it. He was right in front of her, living and breathing, but it almost didn't seem like that was really... him. Like he wasn't real. She didn't want Att around him... she wanted Att around the person she knew years back. He wasn't there anymore... and she wondered if he'd ever be back, or if he was gone for good. Anya hadn't changed... well, that was a lie. She was turning into her mother more and more each day. Taking her role and personality on. She wasn't as kind or forgiving as she'd been... but that was how life worked, she supposed. People couldn't always stay the same, even if it wasn't for the better.

Sage hummed and nodded. He'd been much more active when he had the energy to do so. And, well...when he cared. Now, if someone jumped him he was more likely to just walk into the knife rather than block the strike and kill them. Unless old habits took over, he hadn't been fighting in a long time. Then again, he hadn't really had to, since he was in the tavern day and night all the time, and when he wasn't he was with his father. The thought brought him back to his nightmare, and how his father had acted just like whatever creature he'd seen. Well, his father was a monster he supposed...both were equally terrifying. Manipulative and violent, too. Though the monster had attacked him with the intent to kill, not just to get it's way, it seemed like. Whatever. He shook his head and plastered another smile on his face for the boy and Anya.

Anya gave a slight smile back to the boy before looking at the clock in the corner. It was near noon... Att only really went to his tutor from twelve until two, but even then he spent most of his time playing. She hummed slightly before calling Att back over. "You need to go to the nursery, your tutor will be waiting for you," she told the boy, who frowned and gave a bit of an annoyed look, then started to complain that he didn't want to. "It'll do you good - Sage, tell him, how important is it to read and write?" She asked with a cocked head. She knew Sage didn't exactly know how to read, or how to write very well... but she hoped he'd give her a bit of a hand with the child.

Sage chuckled at Anyas look, willing him to help out and convince the child to go to his class. He nodded at the boy and reached over to pat him on the shoulder. "I know it's boring, but if you go without complaining, how about I talk with Luther about me spending some time showing you how to use a sword after, hm?" Maybe some incentive would do the boy well...and if he could teach him well enough, he'd be well off in the future. Right now, he was just a boy, but he could make it into a game. When he was older he'd have the skills but realize it's not just a game. But with the rebellion...well, it couldn't hurt. Besides, he had plenty of time to carve out a wooden sword for the boy to play with, and he could spend some quality time with the lad. Plus, it would make Anyas job easier in terms of getting him to the nursery every day.
