Zephyr all but bared his teeth angrily as Blake obviously ignored him. He let go and reeled back a little when the shorter guy landed a good punch to his throat, momentarily constricting his breathing. He let out a slight hiss of irritation once he could breathe. "I'm fine. Are you okay? I'm sorry he did that- I don't know why either. He went way too far." He said quietly, his voice catching a little, still recovering. "Grrrr. He ain't listening to words. If you allow, next time he goes near you there might be entertainment for the whole school." He huffed, his dark eyes steely before he shook his head and rubbed his neck with a wince, a bruise already starting to form.

"I don't mind" she said softly. She gave him a small hug. "I don't know what got into him! " she stopped for a second. "Now I'm going to sleep on the couch tonight so he doesn't try to barge into my room through the balcony" she rolled her eyes and let Zephyr go. "I'm sorry..."

Zephyr offered a faint smile. "I don't either." He answered, then furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "That'll be fun. Let's hope you have a comfortable couch." He commented drily. "Sorry for what? I'm here to be your friend, support you, and fix your car. All my decision." He joked with a slight smile.

"Friend, support me, and fix my car" she giggled. "Wow" she shook her head. "My couch is extremely uncomfortable " she sighed. "Is my car good to go? Ryan can't pick me up and mom and dad can't so... you're my only way to school. I'm not going with Izzy and definitely not Blake"

Zephyr nodded with a slight smile. "You have my sympathy." He winced- he, for one, could NOT fall asleep on couches for some reason. "Uhhhmmmm, noooo. Unless you jump start it, the battery doesn't have enough juice to start. You need a new battery. Sooorry." He answered with a sheepish smile. "I can get you a battery that works- we have so many laying around. My father has been trying to get rid of them forever. I think we have one to match this brand of car." He explained.

"A new battery? Geez." She shook her head. "How long will it take to get it fixed then?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Zephyr lifted his eyebrows slightly. "If it gives whoever fixes it problems, an hour. If you have me do it, 30 minutes tops, probably only ten." He joked with a small grin. "All that really needs to happen is unstrap the old one, take out, drop the new one in, and hook it up." He shrugged.

"So are you going to do it today? " Sophia flicked his elbow. "Thanks" she smiled up at him. She glanced at the back of her house. "That's my room!" She jumped forward a few steps and pointed up to a window on the second floor. The balcony jutted out a few steps and was just a foot ot two away from Blake's.

"Sure, I can. I'll pop back to grab a battery and be here within ten minutes. And you're welcome." He answered, then glanced up. "That's terrifyingly close to Blake's room. Anyway, I'll see you in a couple minutes." Zephyr went to his truck and quickly drove away, popping into the big garage and searching for a second before grabbing a battery and driving back in only 7 minutes. He hopped back out, grabbed the battery, and walked over, opening the hood. After unclipping the wires and unattatching stuff, Zeph slowly lifted it out. "Half of it done." He said cheerily, grabbing the new battery and sliding it in. It fit perfectly. "I guessed right. There you go. It should start." He commented after hooking it back up.

Sophia waited for a minute, watching Blake's light flick on and his shadow walk around the room. He looked like he was pacing, his hands on his head. Sophia's mom stepped outside, waving at her before going inside. Soph watched Zephyr work, her eyes watching his hands move around the inside of the car. She smiled. "Yay! Thank you! She jumped into the car and started it. "Thank you Zeph!"
