Caden groans and looks at her before saying " Susan you really didn't need to come " Susan said " look at you your hurt and won't be able to take care of Maddie " Maddie sighed and said " and I don't need to you take care of me I just want you to know but you jump in and say you were coming " Susan said " so I am the bad guy here"

Kennedy listened in as the conversation started to build up almost starting into a fight. That's when she finally brought her gaze back up and looked at Caden then Maddie. Then at Susan who obviously was going to blow up at any minute so she thought of a way to defuse the situation. "Sorry to interrupt but I don't think they mean to make you a bad guy... Emotions and stress are just high at the moment given the situation so everyone is just one edge. I'm sure it's the same for you on top of the fact you had a long flight so why not take the day to relax and come back when you all are more calm and relaxed." Kennedy spoke calmly but firmly keeping her gaze on Susan before glancing at Caden to make sure she did the right thing.

Susan looks at her and said " I don't know who you are but this doesn't involve you " caden said " and I wouldn't argue with her Susan if I were you I would leave " Susan said " oh even through I am your Ex doesn't mean i am not the mother to your child " as she sighed before saying " can we just get along " caden shrugs and said " can we I don't think is possible "

Kennedy turned her gaze back to Susan as she spoke, at first the woman wasn't getting on her nerves but now that she tested her it was different. After she argued with Caden for a moment Kennedy spoke back up "With all due respect, I think as long as I am in this room and am helping Caden, I think it does involve me. Now don't you think it's a bit inconsiderate to argue in front of your child and stress out someone who has just been in a very horrible accident... If I were you I would leave and start thinking before you act" Kennedy snapped at her sternly but still kept her voice down in a calm manner

Susan turns at her before caden stood and said " you say a word to her and I'll hurt you myself leave Susan " Susan said " I'll be back but this isn't over caden I told you this was a bad job for you " caden rolls his eyes before Susan walks out and Maddie said " I shouldn't have called her" caden said " it is not your fault Maddie "

As Susuan turned to face her Kennedy was ready for whatever the woman as going to do or say and knew she was going to need to keep her composure. It did surprise her as Caden rose and snapped at Susan since no one has ever defended her before. Kennedy took a slight step back with a small sigh as the woman left before looking over at Maddie "Yes, it's not your fault. You didn't know something like this would happen and I'm sure didn't think this would happen. So don't worry about it too much sweetie." She said softly before looking over at Caden and making her way over "And you sir should not be coming to my defense, especially in this condition. You could end up hurting yourself more" Kennedy softly spoke while gently pushing him back down onto the bed so he could rest

Maddie gave a small smile before watching them then said " I am going to leave you guys alone for a while " before she walks out caden stares at her before sighing and said " but I didn't want her to snap at you twice and she my Ex so it is not okay that she gets mad at you so I had to step in " before he grabs her hand and smiles then kissed the top of her hand before saying " sit down next to me I missed you "

Kennedy smiled as she looked over at Maddie "Okay, be safe and don't get lost" She said before Maddie left the room, then looked back at Caden "I know but the more you defend me the more problems I fear you'll have with her" Kennedy spoke gently as she glanced own at their hands, giving his a small squeeze as he kissed her head. "Okay... I missed you too" She said quietly as she sat down beside him and settled her head gently onto his shoulder not wanting to hurt him

Caden smiles before leaning his head on her and smiles then said " I surely hope the captain doesn't come and question me I really don't like it all I want to do is to hang out with you and Maddie that all " as caden was being a baby about it and he like her no matter what before he through about what she said and said " I always had trouble with Susan by the time I moved here we broke up "

Kennedy smiled feeling his head lean onto hers which she hummed happily and quietly in reaction to it. "Well the faster he comes to question you the more time you have to spend with us, without stressing about it" She said calmly while her thumb brushed gently side to side on his hand comfortingly. "I'm kind of glad you broke up... Reason being that if that's the way she wass treating you before there was no reason to stay. It'd just be stressing you and Maddie out.. Second reason is my own selfishness.." Kennedy somewhat cut herself short on her sentence not wanting to explain what her selfish thought was so she left it at that
