Mal read quietly and contently. He didn't mind Camron's presence and found it kind of nice and reassuring. A soft smile laid on his face as he read quietly. Outside the sun shone in which let a nice, warm glow around the room. Birds could be heard faintly outside and the occasional group would fly by. Malcolm glanced up at one point and saw Camron's gaze on him, which he responded with a kind smile, even though he was already smiling.

[Camron gave a slight smile back but looked back to the book fairly fast. For some reason he just felt weird about the interaction, not a bad weird though. He just read the book, not interested in the story line one bit. It was interesting at first but once it became a damsel in distress story, they lost him. Camron glanced back at Malcolm for a moment before getting startled by a slight sound outside. After that, he just decided to keep reading, there wasn't much of anything to do.]

Seeing Camron smile back at him made Mal a little happy. 'Hopefully he doesn't see this as weird,' he thinks as he reads, 'I mean we are just reading books. Nothing else but that. Maybe it's too quiet? Should I be starting a conversation l?' He wonders for a while before realizing he had forgotten what had been happening in his book, therefore having to go back and reread the last page. A little while had passed and Malcolm's eyes go to the window when a strange noise came from out there. He glanced over at Camron momentarily and saw that he too was looking outside before going back to his book. 'Guess it's nothing to worry about then,' he thinks and returns to his book. A few moments pass and Mal hears a familiar pecking on the glass, which causes him to look over and see his dove friend. He carefully marks his page and gets up from his spot on the bed to walk over to the balcony where the dove waited patiently. He opens the door before grabbing a handful of seeds and walking outside. The bird carefully lands on his forearm and pecks at the seeds in his hand.

[Camron looked up at Malcolm as he got up. He was confused on what he was doing and just watched. Canton stayed quiet, no words left his mouth. His gaze followed Malcolm's movements for a moment before breaking, "What are you doing?" His tone was quiet but still curious. Camron's eyes shifted to the seeds he grabbed but simply waited for a answer. In the moments he sat there it hadn't been too long but felt like it had been an hour. 'Why does he just had seeds randomly-?' His mind trailed.]

Mal turned his head to look back at Camron as he asked what he was doing. "Feeding this dove," he replies and turns so that Camron could see the bird resting on his arm, "you could say we are friends of sorts. He just showed up one day during a storm and flew in here when my window flew open from the wind. I fed him and made sure he wasn't hurt and once the storm was over he left. Ever since then he has returned for food every now and again." He looks down at the dove with a kind smile, which had been on his face as he had spoken to Camron as well. Malcolm liked this little bird and he believed the bird liked him as well.

[Camron looked at the dove for a moment before turning back to Malcolm as he replied. He didn't quite know how to respond. "Uh, interesting." Canton replied once Malcolm was done with the little story. Part of him didn't want to move, even if the bird wasn't too close to him he thought it would just spook it. He sat fairly still just observing the connection Malcolm had with the bird, Camron had never seen an animal like a bird so close to humans in real time before. His gaze edged slightly to the window where the bird had flown in, but quickly his eyes followed back to the bird with a slight confusion of the idea that a bird would so comfortably fly into a person's room like that, it was a wild bird after all.]

Malcom smiles at the dove as it flutters ip onto his shoulder and nuzzles against his neck. "Guess your done eating then," he says to the bird as he puts the seeds away. He notices how Camron was watching him and the bird and smiles slightly. "Would you like to hold him," he asks Camron, "I have been trying to get him used to people. I think I might keep him if he gets too used to me." The dove gently hops onto Mal's sling and looks up at him as he talks.

(Ahhh I started procrastinating)

[He watched as Malcolm fed the bird. After a few moments he just watched the bird, it took him a moment to register what Malcom had said. A hesitant gaze matched by his hesitated ton followed quickly, "Erm, sure.." he didn't quite know if he was sure. Camron's gaze continued to shift from the bird and Malcolm, unsure of the situation in general, it still confused him to see a bird so comfortable with a human.]

A smile rested on Mal's face as he approached Camron with the dove still resting on his sling. "So all you have to do is hold out your hand," he explains and shows it with his god hand, "and he will hop into it like so." He lowers his hand near the sling and the dove hops into it. The bird lets out a soft coo and fluffs its feathers up with a shake. The bird's feather's stick up, making it look like a ball of fluff, before slowly going back down.

(Sorry I meant to respond today (now yesterday x.x) but I have been busy with Tavel stuff)

[Camron held out his hand a bit hesitantly but once the bird hoped on he chilled a bit. His eyes remained on the bird, for a moment or two, every little moment the bird made he gave a slight flinch but once he got more used to the small thing Camron just watched it. His gaze half shifted to Malcolm after a few moments, he said nothing but after a second he looked back to the bird. Camron looked up again after a few minutes, "Uhm.. woudl you like the little guy back-?" He slowly moved his hand to Malcolm as he decided he didn't want to hold the bird anymore. "It's.. cute-? I just don't really want to hold it anymore.."]
