He pushed himself upwards with a grimace, and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. His arms were trembling, so he slid back down to the ground with a grunt. Ok, so he was hurt worse than he thought. He sighed and lay on his back trying to catch his breath. He knew he had to stitch himself up, but he was too tired to do so now.
she stood up and walked over to him she sighed softly before helping him up "come on, ill get you fixed up" she said as she helped him to the cave. once they were at the cave she laid him by the fire and started it to keep him warm and help him dry off from swimming earlier. she cleaned his wounds she was teary-eyed she hated seeing him like this. she stitched up his wounds the best she could after they were clean.
He leaned on her heavily on the way to the cave and all but collapsed when she set him down. He closed his eyes while she stitched him up and once she was done he opened one and grinned slightly. "I'll be alright. I've been worse," he whispered. Then the exhaustion caught up with the blood loss and he passed out.
He grinned and patted her shoulder. "Don't worry about me. I'm stubborn." He thought for a moment and then shrugged. "I'm gonna stand up." He started to get up and his vision went white. He sat down hard and laughed slightly. "Or maybe not-"
