Anya clenched her jaw slightly when the boy jumped away from her. She didn't know what to do, how to help him... he was a bit erratic, and she didn't have a clue about how to stop that. She would have pulled him in for a hug, try and comfort him some how... but it'd been so long. And she didn't think that would help him right then. He might feel trapped, like he had no where to go, and she didn't want that. When he told her it to touch him, she furrowed her brows slightly before giving a soft nod. "Okay... that's okay, I'm not going to touch you," she promised softly. She held her hand out to him for a few more moments before realising he just wasn't going to take it. Ok, that was fine. She'd have to find some other way to calm him. She hummed softly before slowly standing up and going to grab the book he'd made before wandering back over and getting comfortable on the floor across from him. "Look at this," she hummed slightly as she started flicking through the book. To a page which seemed dedicated to Christmas... every little bullet of the day was there, all the bits Sage must have thought was important. "Do you remember this? You were so happy," she murmured with a small smile.

Sage was really still in a sort of confused panic when the girl pulled her hand away. He thought she might get up and walk away, but instead she pulled out a small book, much to his confusion. He was still glancing around the room wildly when the girl asked him if he remembered something, so he forced himself to look over at what the girl was holding. He recognized the book after a moment, and blinked over at the girl, cocking his head slightly. "You kept it," he murmured dumbly. He'd sort of thought she'd have gotten rid of it all once he left, to try and move on. She had moved on....she had no need of a few sketches he'd done years ago. The sight of something to focus on did help, though, and he felt himself gradually calming down.

Anya nodded softly and gave him a type of comforting smile. "Of course I did," she murmured softly before shifting a little so she was leaning against the wall next to him. "You gave it to me," she hummed. He seemed to have calmed down now that he'd had something to focus on... so she started slowly flicking through the book page by page. She wondered what had made him freak out like that... what on earth could he be dreaming about that was so bad? She wanted to help him out a bit, but she wasn't sure how, and in truth, she was scared that he'd pull his stitches out. "You want to have a look through?" She asked with a small smile, offering him the book.

Sage had pretty much caught his breath by the time Anya had sat down next to him, though he absentmindedly leaned against the girl, kind of seeking a bit of comfort from her as he sat there. He was still shaking, but by now he felt his stitches straining so he was trying to stop it before he made anything worse. He wasn't leaning against her in a romantic way, it was more like a small child needing their mother, really. But when she offered him the book, he slowly unfurled himself to take it and began to flip through it, relaxing more as time went on.

Anya let the boy lean against her, but hesitated to wrap an arm around his shoulders as she tried to stop his shaking. "Alright?" She asked after a couple of moments. "Can we get you back to bed now?" She asked quietly as she carefully ran her hand up and down his shoulder in a comforting way. She wanted him to be alright... but he'd thrown himself out of bed, and he was pretty much quivering like a frightened animal now. He had to have hurt himself, and she doubted his stitches would hold up for too long. He'd be better off in a comfortable bed rather than not the cold floor.

Sage sighed and nodded when the girl asked if he could get back into bed. He supposed it would be better to curl up where it was warm...he definitely couldn't afford to get sick, not now. He handed the book back to the girl and slowly rose to his feet to limp over to the bed. It was shaky, and definitely a challenge, and he had to put a hand on the girls shoulder to keep his balance, but he managed. He collapsed back into the bed with a wheeze, breathing heavily, and barely had the energy to curl up under the blankets with a shiver. Though, he did cock his head at the girl and ask why she had first come in here.

Anya gave a slight sigh of relief when he finally built up the energy to get back to bed. She was still worried though... about everything that had been going on in his head. Once he was settled, the girl gently covered him with the blanket before going to sit back down on the chair, though, she was leaning slightly on his bed and kept one hand gently running through us hair like she used to do. "Luther thought it'd be a good idea to come and see you before bed. He wants us to get along for however long you're going to be here," she sighed slightly and the idea before shaking her head. "It's a good thing I came. What were you dreaming about," the girl asked curiously. He didn't need to answer... but she was curious.

Sage nodded slowly when she told him why she'd come by. "I suppose he has a point there," he murmured. He smiled softly for a moment when he felt her hand running through his hair...it was something she'd used to do all the time, and it was definitely helpful. He supposed it was something friends could do. Comfort each other, that was. They could hug or whatever, she could do this, it could all be done platonically. Though he shuddered slightly when she asked what he'd been dreaming about and closed his eyes, curling up a bit tighter under the blankets. "Just dad," he whispered. Really it wasn't a 'just' kind of thing, but he wasn't sure the girl still wanted to be the person he could totally unload to. She didn't have to be the one he'd tell everything, and if he was being honest...he didn't want to scare the girl off. Not when she'd finally just started to open back up to him.

Anya gave a small nod. She wanted to be there for Sage the way she was there for everybody, but a part of her also wanted to be there for him more than that. She wanted to have what they had before, but in truth, she didn't know him anymore. He could unload on her all he wanted, but it wouldn't be the same as before. She'd never pull him in, never give him a comforting peck on the cheek, never curl up with him and tell him everything would be alright the way she used to. She supposed he'd never do any of those things for her either. But she didn't care, not really. She had Luther to talk to now, like she used to do with Sage, just without so much romance. "Your dad?" She repeated softly, almost in the way she'd talk to Att when he was upset. "What was happening?" She asked quietly. He didn't need to answer if he didn't want to, but she supposed it'd be good for him to... good for him to have someone to talk to again.

Sage shrugged slightly and sighed when she asked her second question. "A lot of things," he admitted. "It was too confusing for me to know exactly what was happening." He opened his eyes and looked over at the girl and lifted a shoulder in another type of sheepish shrug. "I don't know if it was things he's actually done or not, or if it was, or if it was a combination of the two or..." he trailed off then, not really knowing what else to say. Besides, he had to take a moment to calm himself down because he was trembling again at the thought of his father. "It was just a lot," he finished lamely, not knowing what else to say or do.
