"But I think patience will make it even better." He kept his hand relaxed, resting near her without moving in any closer. "So, guess you’ll just have to wait a bit longer," he added with a grin, giving her space while still holding her attention. |

"You’re the one scooting closer," he added with a grin, watching her intently. "Guess you like the ‘mean’ side of me, huh?" His eyes flicked to her lips, then back to her eyes, the teasing tone not leaving his voice.
