Anya made her way back towards the office swiftly, where she met her mother with a smile. "Hey," she chirped lightly before grabbing a pile of papers instinctively. "Sage is awake," she noted absentmindedly before starting to scribble away. The queen looked confused for a moment before pausing whatever she was doing and cocking her head. "What?" The woman asked curiously. Anya gave a bit of a chuckle at the answer she got before glancing up. "Yeah, he's back. Maybe it's time to thank him for saving your life, hm?" She asked before going back to whatever she was doing. The queen just scoffed at her before shaking her head. "I think not. He was serving the crown, just like everyone else in the castle. Why should he be the one to get a thank you?" The woman noted defensively. Anya could only chuckle at that, though... she knew the woman was thankful, really.

Sage slept for a while, not noticing the doctor slip into the room and lay another blanket over him since he was still curled up in a ball and bound to get cold easy. The doctor watched the sleeping boy for a moment before slipping away to make sure the lamps were turned off and pulled the curtain around the boys area so he could stay in a deep sleep, though there wasn't a worry about the boy not sleeping, really. Sage himself stayed asleep for a good long while, and when he woke up he rolled over so he was on his good side and slipped away again as soon as his head touched the pillow.

Anya worked for a good few hours, until it'd started to get dim outside before heading off to Atts room to grab him for dinner. The boy grinned and ran over to her, yelling about how him and some of the other royal children were going to have a big sleepover in his room... she glanced around the room, noticing that they'd all brought their mattresses into his room. Great. That meant she had to be responsible for about eight odd children, and she'd only just found out. Luther probably knew, so she'd have to make him deal with the children. She wanted to sit with Sage for a while... reminisc, really. "You guys will have loads of fun!" She chirped in an equally as exited tone as the little child before picking him up and making her way out to eat dinner. She ate fast before dropping the child back in his room, letting the chefs know to make some snacks for the children and then heading back to her own room to relax for a little while.

Sage woke up briefly through the night, though when he realized what time it was, he settled back down. He fell into a sort a fitful sleep eventually, one where he tossed and turned a bit, and his breathing sped up gradually. He even started to sweat after a while, though he couldn't wake himself up like he usually did. It was odd, really, but he supposed he just had to suffer it until it ended or he woke up. He wasn't sure he could, though. The doctor, of course, had no idea, and was sound asleep in the other room. (What if Anya decides to visit and wakes him up, but he freaks out awake too and she has to sort of help him? And see that he still needs her even if it's not romanticly? Could be interesting.)

(Yeah, we can do that!) Anya lounged around for a while, just kind of staring up at the patterned ceiling. Soon enough, Luther wandered in with a bright smile. "Hey," he chirped before jumping on the bed, and pretty much on Anya. Anya gave a little giggle before shoving him aside playfully. "What's up?" She asked lightly as she started to sit up a bit. Luther hummed thoughtfully before shrugging. "Not much. Did you manage to talk to Sage at all? It's not nice seeing the the two of you so... awkward." It was a fair point. He'd been so used to them all getting along, and although it hadn't been the three of them in so long, it was strange that they weren't friends. "A bit. I got to see him smile, and that was nice. I don't think mill ever stop being upset with him though," she murmured quietly. Luther chuckled and shook his head. "He did what he had to. If he hadn't left then I would have probably overreacted even more and ran off to tell your mother, which would have ended up with him dead and you in a lot of trouble," he hold her softly before giving her a bit of a sigh. "Look, go see him now. You two need to get along again," he told her with a small smile. And looked thoughtful before nodding her head. He was right, and she kind of did want to get along with him again. To be his friend, like the way they were before things got out of hand. "Yeah, ok," she murmured before hopping out of bed and grabbing the little picture book he'd made her before wandering towards the ward. He might want to see it... he'd made it after all. Sage continued to dream, which he didn't exactly want to do, but he'd managed to calm himself down enough so that he wasn't rolling around everywhere. Which was good, considering he'd just had surgery and busting his stitches open probably wouldn't be good for his health. He looked like he was sleeping for the most part, except his brows were furrowed and the sweat still shone on his skin. Anyone who knew him well would be able to see his pulse pounding too, if they were observant enough, though he wasn't sure anyone here knew him all that well, even if they did stop by.

Anya wandered into the little ward with the book in her hands... maybe he'd like to look through it. He'd made it, and it was full of memories... all the good ones. Ones they both shared. She when she noticed he was asleep, gave a small sigh and went back to sit in the chair she'd been sitting in earlier... he wouldn't be asleep for long, she didn't think. She sat for about five minutes before noticing his chest rise and fall a little quicker, along with the slight sheen of sweat on his skin. She was worried for a moment, though she remembered about his dreams... and if that was what was happening, didn't want to leave him struggling. She sat for about another minute, then gave a slight groan before standing up and placing a soft hand on his shoulder. She didn't shake him, she didn't want him to get a fright and rip his stitches out. "Sage," she whispered gently, "Wake up, Sage," she hummed quietly.

Sage didn't really notice Anya was there until she placed her hand on his shoulder. Well, he felt something, but he didn't recognize the girl when his eyes flew open and he jerked away with a type of strangled scream. He rolled away from the girl, though he didn't know it was her at the time, and pretty much fell off the bed. It hurt when he landed, though thankfully he didn't land on his stitches. He sort of crawled back into the corner of the room, chest heaving and eyes wild, a sort of low growl type noise coming from his throat as he crouched in the corner, looking like some kind of defensive animal. Really, the girl had barely touched him, so he wasn't sure why he was freaking out so much...he was even trembling now, like a coyote cornered by a larger predator or something. He wasn't sure why, but that's what was happening.

Anya jumped slightly when the boy let out his yell. She didn't have a clue what she was expecting when she woke him up, but it certainly wasn't that. Not for him to be acting like a wild animal. She forrowed her brows slightly before taking a slightly shaky breath, kind of regretting what she'd just done. What on earth was he dreaming about? What could be so bad? She just kind of stared at him from where she was standing before taking a few slow steps forward and crouching down like a meter away from him. "Hey, hey, it's okay," she murmured softly, a look of worry crossing her face. She'd seen him freak out before... but she'd never seen him act like this, and she had gotten a bit of a fright by it. "You're fine," she reassured after a moment, offering him a hand. She didn't know what he'd do with that... either take it so she could help him stand up or bat her away, whatever he wanted. Those year out in the slums really must have taken a toll on him... she'd never seen him like this before.

Sage stayed the way he was until the girl started walking forward. He went back as far as he could, until he was pressed against the walls. He went from defensive to just... panicked, and watched girl codme closer through wild eyes, his breathing and heart rate speeding up the closer she got. Admittedly, he yelped when she reached her hand out, cowering backwards, fully expecting some sort of blow to fall. "No...no don't touch me," he squeaked, holding his hands out in front of himself. Though, when the hand stayed there, that confused him enough to watch it. He blinked and sort of looked harder, and recognition flashed through his eyes when he saw it was Anya, though he was still a bit freaked out. He lowered his arms though, and wrapped them around himself with a slight whimper. He didn't know what to do...what was taking her hand going to do? Before, she would have wrapped her arms around him...but he doubted she'd do that now. And he wasn't sure what to do, or what the girl would be comfortable with now.
