Alora tried to run after him. "Axel, don't-!" she yelled but it was too late. The guards were alerted within seconds. Alora froze in horror. Duncan too in his room, slowly turning to Axel once he'd come back in, slow tears already begining to drip down his face. "What have you done..." he breathed just as the guards stormed into Duncans room, hundreds of weapons pointed at Axel. Duncan stayed frozen. The Prince and Heir of the Autumn Kingdom was dead. Malakai stormed in. "What the fuck is happening here?!" he yelled at Duncan and Alora. "Kai- its not what it looks like-" Alora started. "I was speaking to Duncan," Kai growled. Duncan was frozen, white as a sheet, tears dripping down his face rapidly. He didn't know what to say or what to do...

Axel knew Duncan would be upset, but he didn't exactly have time to tell Duncan what he'd been doing. Well...alorha knew, so she could explain it to Duncan later if this all went bad. Which it looked like it would, given the fact that he had a bunch of guns pointed at him. When the other man stormed in and started screaming, Axels grip on the gun in his hand tightened, eyes narrowing as he took in the scene. He didn't like this, and the only reason he hadn't attacked people yet was to give Duncan a chance to talk to ....whoever this one. Alorha too, if the guy would let her talk. He couldn't wait forever though, so he threw Duncan a quick glance, breathing heavily. He should keep his mouth shut probably, but the temptation to start swearing at people was really strong.

Kai clocked what was going on fairly quickly. Or some of the situation. "Alora, its past curfew, go" he demanded. She nodded and skittered off. He flicked his hand and the guards disarmed Axel immediately, and brought him down to the dungeons. "Sit," Kai demanded. Duncan did so. "Why are you harbouring a wanted criminal?" he questioned. "...Kai... I-... I'm gay..." Duncan whispered. Kai paused. "What?" he questioned, voice softening a little. Duncan nodded, unable to make eye contact. "...I love him, Kai..." Duncan whispered. Kais heart melted. He knew what it was like. He had fallen in love with the one person he couldn't have too. He sat beside him, letting go of his kingly stature, he was Duncans brother too. Kai nodded. "Okay," he whispered. Duncan cried. "...Do you still love me?" he asked. "You're my brother, of course I love you, Duncs," he whispered softly. Duncan cried harder, happy tears. "Please don't hurt him..." he whispered. Kai shook his head. "I won't, I promise," he whispered gently. "Why did he do that, Duncan?" he asked. Duncan cried harder and began to explain. Kai held him closely after everything was out in the open. He comforted him until he settled down. "Cmon, lets go have a chat with Axel," he murmured. Duncan nodded, getting up and walking with him down to the dungeons.

Axel had lifted the gun again when the guards moved forward, but there were too many of them coming at once, and he didn't want to accidentally shoot alora, who was moving out of the door still. He was back in the dungeons before he really knew what was happening, chained to the wall by his wrists and neck. He let out a string of curses, working against the chains, fury burning white hot in his chest. He was making himself bleed, but he didn't really care. He was too angry for that - at the guards, at the man who'd hurt Duncan, at his older brother acting like a jerk. He just yelled louder when he heard footsteps coming towards him, though he quenched his tongue when he noticed it was just Duncan. "What the hell are you alright," he yelped, when he noticed his tear stained face, moving as close to the door as he could. It was only then he saw the other man, and his lips curled closer to a sneer. "What's he want," he all but snapped, though he knew he was the king and still had a job to do. That didn't mean he had to like him. Of course, he wasn't sure that Duncan still liked him after all this, so he stepped back, nerves twisting inside of him. Maybe this was it. Duncan rushed over to Axel. "Stop, stop it, you're bleeding," he muttered, releasing him from his restraints. Duncan kept his distance. He was really upset with everything that had happened tonight. With the man and with Axel. Kai rolled his eyes. "Sit the fuck down and stop being an ass. We all need to have a chat, and you need to behave if you want to stay here, or stay with Duncan," Kai commanded. Duncan gave Axel a look, telling him to do it. Once Axel had sat, Kai sat across from him and Duncan settled down next to Kai and Kai started, "So, I've heard all about your relationship. I understand, I did the same thing, fall for the one person you can't have? Yeah I understand. But you royally messed things up when you went and killed the Prince and Heir to the Autumn Kingdom. I now have to deal with political crap because of you. I understand why you did it, and if it was anyone other than an heir I would've done the same goddamn thing. We could have used what he did against their kingdom but now my kingdom is going to be attacked, because now I'm the bad guy. If you used your brain and listened to Duncan, this could all have been avoidable. And now, I am not particularlly inclined to accomidate you whatsoever. If you weren't dating my brother, this situation would be very different. So, Axel, what do you think I should do?"

Axel calmed down slightly as Duncan moved to his side, knowing that at least he still cared about him. Even if it was just enough to stop him from hurting himself even more....he still cared. That helped calm his nerves down some, and once the chains were removed, the pain had gone down too, which also helped. He did notice that Duncan kept his distance, which caused a pang of grief to simmer in his chest. He hadn't wanted to make things worse - but he didn't regret killing the guy. He'd deserved it. He bristled at kai's comment, opening his mouth to snap back at him but closing it again and plopping down with a sigh when he noticed Duncan's look. He listened as Kai spoke, though his fingers tightened together where his hands were placed in his lap. "Easy. Blame it on me," he noted with a shrug. "Claim you were attacked by an escaped prisoner, who also shot their heir while he had a chance," he added. "It would take the blame off you at least," he noted dully, picking at the skin around his fingernails, not willing to look at either of the men in front of him.

"I could do that," Kai hummed, "But then I'd have to kill you. I can't keep a prisoner who attacked me and another heir, and you can't stay in confinement the rest of your life either. But dispite what you may think, I want my brother to be happy, and you're what makes him happy," Kai finished. "So, Axel, what do you think I should do?"

Axel pondered his words for a moment before letting out a sigh. "Kill me or don't kill me, I really don't care," he admitted. Maybe that wasn't quite what Duncan wanted to hear, but it was the truth. Of course, he wasn't sure how Duncan felt about him anymore either. "But you don't have to name me as the person who attacked you. There are plenty of others like me. It wouldn't be hard to claim an attack," he pointed out. "A lot of our goals involved getting in and out quickly.... that type of attack would make sense here," he added with a shrug. "Except no one is going to believe me if I don't have a suspect. They are going to blame me," Kai countered. "And it still doesn't explain why they would attack me, and an heir from another kingdom," "So, here's whats going to happen. You are going to stay here tonight in the dungeons until a room is made up for you. You will not be allowed to leave your room and you will be allowed 2 hour visits with Duncan during lunch hour with 2 guards supervising, upon Duncans request. That is whats going to happen until I see how bad politically this is going to end up," Kai stood, "You have 20 minutes to speak with Duncan before its curfew," he said, walking out as 2 guards stepped into the cell on either side of the door. Duncan stayed still, still staring at his hands.

Axel just rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "So find someone. There's plenty of the winter kingdom's spies in your woods at any given time," he noted. But he nodded with a sigh as Kai said what was happening, knowing it was of no use to argue. He glanced over at Duncan, though dropped his gaze, not sure what to say. "Sorry," he finally offered quietly. "I just ...I didn't know what else to do," he added softly. He wasn't sure what else to say, but he felt like it was necessary to add, "if you'd rather not...be with me after this...I won't blame you," he added, voice barely above a whisper.
