"Smokey wanted to run, so I figured I'd let him catch up to you. Can I ride with you? If that's okay?" She made sure Smokey kept pace with Rum and patted him on the neck. He seems really confused... She'd think to herself.

"Have at it." Tyler said gruffly, looking ahead again. The sun was going down quickly.. they had been cantering for hours now. As Tyler let Rum slow more, the other horses started to catch up. Tyler knew they were going to set up camp in a couple minutes, so he let Rum drop to a walk. They fell behind all the other horses till the only thing they stayed ahead of was the chuck wagon. Tyler rolled his shoulders, seeing everyone stop in a big cloud of dust. Rum broke into a Trot, and they came into the campsite. Tyler slowed him down and hopped off, taking off the horses tack and rubbing him with a brush before giving him over to the horse wrangler. Tyler kept a worried eye on Rum as he didn't every time... because his horse was always the horse to make trouble. His horse would be the one to break out... Tyler shook his head and strode into the actual campsite where a couple fires were already burning. He tipped his hat to a couple men, then continued straight through the campsite till he was out the other side. He found a rock and laid down, resting his back up against it and waited for someone to call that the food was done

"Okay" After riding along side Tyler with out talking for hours, the group got to the first campsite. Smokey slowed to a stop and Estrella hopped off. She unsaddled him, and brushed him out before tying him to the side of the wagon, where the family horses get tied. She walked over to the fire where mya was sitting and sat next to her. Mya immediately started drilling her with questions, Ella answered them the best she could. After about 45 minutes, Mrs. Diaz(Mya's mom, Estrella's aunt) started on the soup for dinner.

Tyler opened his eyes, glancing at his horse. Rum had not gotten out yet... that's a good sign. He stood slowly and walked over to where the men were chatting, talking, and laughing. Tyler could smell soup, and he knew it was almost done, so he waited, standing in the shadows. He would take the soup back.. eat it, fall asleep, and wake up for the new day. Perfect plan.

Mrs Diaz let everyone know soup was ready. The guests, ranch hands and the family all got their food, then sat down around the fire to eat. Estrella looked around for Mya. She saw Mya and walked over to her, sitting down next to her and eating.

Once all the family had gotten their food Tyler grabbed his and walked back over to the rock. He sat down, eating the soup slowly and watching the fire from a ways away. He was almost impossible to see in the night darkness. Tyler was entirely in the shadows. He had black hair, a black beard, a a black mustache. He wore black clothing. The only thing you might see were his sparkling eyes. He finished the soup and laid down, looking up at the night sky. He usually fell asleep before all the other men... and got up earlier

After dinner was done, the dishes where put into the chuck wagon and it was time for everyone to go to bed. Estrella, Mya and everyone else later out their bed roles and lay down. Estrella lay there for a while, looking up at the stars before falling asleep.

(Time skip to 4:30 AM) - Tyler woke with a yawn, again before everyone else. He stood up silently, planting the hat on his head and walking over to the horses. He brushed Rum thouroghly, holly the horse hadn't tried to escape.

(Yup) - Mr. Diaz woke up, then woke everyone else up at 5am. Mrs. Diaz started on breakfast(oatmeal). Estrella woke up and rolled up her bed role. She walked over to Smokey and grabbed a brush from her saddle bag and brushed the horse thoroughly. After brushing Smokey, she saddle him. Everyone else brushed and saddle their horses. By the time that was done, breakfast was ready, so people started to eat. Estrella got a bowl of oatmeal and sat on the ground next to Smokey while she ate. The gelding munched on some hay with the rest of the family's horses.

Tyler already had Rum tacked up and ready by the time everyone started getting up. He strode over and got some oatmeal, eating it quickly and jumping on Rum. Tyler warmed the horse up with a quick Trot, then waited for everyone to be done. He knew they would probably reach the cattle today... or If there were any stragglers someone would come home tomorrow. With stragglers they usually sent two or three cowboys out there's to bring them back while the rest of the herd moved on.
