Sage gave her a cocky grin and froze everyone in the room but himself so as not to freak the humans out. "That just means I have the courage to do what you won't." He shrugged. "Besides, pissing of death was worth it, and so is pissing off you. You might like to play, but in the end you lose your toys. You always do." |

Roxie narrowed her eyes "So this is because of death and I? You're trying to spite us both?" she chuckled "Courage has nothing to do with this you just wanna win this little pissing match... you were concerned about Max's love for you well it sounds like she should be worried about your love for her... and your child." she laughed "You don't really love either of them... come on... as soon as Max is out of the picture you'll forget about that baby she has brewing inside her..." she smirked flicking him back with a simple flick of her wrist like a bug "Perhaps I should tell her this isn't about love... its been about pissing off death from day one...." she snickered "Wonder how shes going to feel about that in such a vulernable state..." she smirked glancing up at the celing like she was going to go upstairs her purple eyes glowing mischeviously. |

Sage snarled but kept his balance as she pushed him back. "We both know you try to get inside our heads. And we won't let you." He glared at her, fuming. If she went up to where Maxine was, he would kill her. "We know what the truth is, Roxie. And the truth is that you're just following deaths orders. You can't stand up for yourself and you don't know how to do anything but lie and scheme " He sent a shot into her, blowing a hand off. Being an elder demon, she could fix it in a minute, but it still showed her he was much stronger than he was before. It would take a lot, but he could beat her. |

Roxie giggled "Are you quite sure about that?" she asked "You forget she knows for sure now that I've known you the longest..." she smirked playfully "She may just listen to me even if I lie to her." she cooed. "I can stand up for myself..." she said "I worked hard to get to be deaths right hand..." she hissed before she was taken back by the shot, no it didn't push her back like she had done to Sage but her hand dropped to the ground beside her before she murmured something and snapped her fingers her hand jumping back up and attatchig to her arm "Nice try..." she chuckled before she thrust him back again "I think I will go visit your little girlfriend... perhaps maybe I'll freeze her and say hello to my next little apprentice... as long as its human side doesn't get in the way." she smirked knowing how much that would piss him off... he knew how she trained the demon children teaching them to fight as soon as they could walk... "May the fittest survive." she'd say when she put them all into the arena after a weeks training session. She smiled and froze him briefly before she snapped her fingers heading up to his and Maxine's room. |

He snarled and broke out of the hold she froze him in and bolted after her, eyes burning. He changed into his demon form as he went, it would get him more power. It was similar to his human form, except his eyes had red swirling in the gold and practically glowed. His skin had a redder tint to it too, due to the more veins that came into play in that form. He would be at the room in only a few seconds, but to him it felt like forever. |

By the time he got there Maxine was frozen in place as Roxie got close to her "Well hello there little one... Your heartbeat is nice and strong..." She purred. Maxine's eyes were full of fear as she finally spotted Sage silently pleading for help. "Hopefully you don't inherit too much of your mother's humanity... That's not good for a demon..." She purred "If you do it will be evaporated quickly." She assured putting a hand on Maxine's stomach. |

Sage snarled and shot a blast of hellfire at Roxie, knocking her away from Maxine and slamming her into the wall. He unfroze Maxine and skidded to a stop, positioning himself between her and Roxie as fire seemed to dance through his body and power seemed to radiate from his stance and stony face. He had his claws and fangs extended, and knew that he could beat Roxie if he tried hard enough. And for Maxine and the baby, he would do anything. |

Roxie groaned slightly when she was thrown into the wall Maxine was horrified... She got herself against a wall ready to run in either direction her arms over her stomach in a protective manor. Roxie narrowed her eyes her purple orbs flaring with anger "Damn you Sage! You and your little abomination will be wiped off the planet I swear!" She shrieked blasting Sage back sending him into the wall above Maxine yelping in fear looking up at where he was in the divit that was now cracked in the wall "Find us please..." She whimpered seeing her opportunity she ran with it and tried to take off only to be stopped by Roxie and slammed into one of the chairs with chains around her arms and legs "No no no I don't think so..." She told her with a smile "You're going to watch while I filet your boyfriend before you get a dose of this and become a mother much sooner then you think." She smirked looking at Sage "Now would you like to see your child or should I kill you first?" Roxie asked curiously tipping her head curiously. Sage knew well she wasn't kidding she was always messing around with potions and things so even if it was a bluff it was uncertain... Cause she could have indeed made something to speed up the process. |

Sage staggered to his feet gasping and shot across the room, tackling Roxie as he sent a blast to break the chains around Maxine. He could keep her busy enough, since demon fighting entailed offensive, up close fighting. It was an offensive, aggressive style, whoever was stronger won. There wasn't any defense in it. But even if he did die, he would come back and if he held on long enough Maxine could hide where Roxie couldn't find her ..she could track him but couldn't track her alone. Roxie didn't see him free Maxine because he did it as he attacked her. He was stubborn and would fight until the end, however the end came about. |

Roxie was sent through the wall of the hotel tumbling down toward the street where alarmed people watched in horror as she fell and then disappeared only to reappear behind Sage finally noticing that Maxine was gone she let out a loud demonic scream that smashed open every bit of glass in the hotel as Max tried to make her way out... She didn't get out of it completely unscathed but she did manage to get out... She glanced up at the building worried for Sage "He'll come back..." She reminded herself as she got to her bike and took off without so much as a cent to her name. |
