Sage wrinkled his nose slightly when Lorenzo mentioned his fathers reaction to if he made a mess, shaking his head slightly. "Then you're both lamer than I thought," he noted simply. At Lorenzo's question, sage stilled though. He was there because it was all he knew - and because none of them could. They were kept there, and their superiors punished anyone who expressed not liking it or eating to leave severely. Men had died trying to escape. In fact, he didn't think anyone had gotten out of the situation unless they'd been captured or something similar. "Because that's my option," he finally settled on. Though a small twitch of his lips did pull a faint smile onto his face. "Though I suppose I do enjoy the adrenaline rush that comes from a good fight," he admitted with a shrug. Though, when he was told to relax, he just shook his head slowly. "You do realize I'm not going to try anything, right," he huffed out, though he did hurt still, so he moved to sit back down on the chair with a sort of sigh. "What's the plan with me anyway," he asked. "I assume they'll ship me off to some dungeon. Or arrange an execution," he hummed in thought. "Do you still use guillotines? Those are neat," he added, not seeming to be too concerned about the fact that he might very well be executed soon.

he tilted his head "no.. we uh dont.. and im not going to have anyone excute you.." he paused "and how do i know you wont try not silly stuff.."
he paced as he thank for a hot moment " most people will be free.. some will join our knights.. some will.. be sent somewhere else.. and your interesting .. so perhaps youll make it onto my team.." he tilted his head analyzing "unless your fighting days are over soldier?" he paused "never got your formal name? mind stating it" he stood straighter crossing his arms his blue eyes hardening as he studied his reaction to his question

Sage grunted when Lorenzo mentioned that they didn't execute anyone anymore, shaking his head slightly. "Weird way to rule a country," he noted, not entirely sure how that all worked. After a moment he decided he didn't really care, though, and moved on. He was too tired to think about that very much. Or anything at all, really. He just listened as the man across from him spoke, watching him pace back and forth with a lazy gaze. His eyebrows lifted slightly when he mentioned joining up on his team....that did seem to have a few benefits, given the way he'd already cleaned out his wound and given him water. "I work for whoever treats me better," he noted. "And compared to by old supervisor, there's not much you could do to lose to him," he reasoned after a moment or so. He'd join up ...and if he ever needed out, he doubted this man would be hard to shake off, unlike the old one. When he asked for his name though, he passed, watching him with the same intense gaze, alibet a tired look about his face. "Formally? They gave me a number," he noted after a moment. "But my name is Sage," he noted. "No last name. Don't know my mother's and I refuse to use my father's," he added quickly, before he could ask.

"the names lorenzo winchester.. pleased to meet ya" he held out a hand as if to shake his and foromally meet sage this man was clearly prim and proper.. he nodded his blue eyes softening ever so slightly "so sage it is" he gave a nod as her turned "follow" he walked out oof the tents to guards and a couple higher ups within the army
he had a hushed conversation that couldnt been really overheard unlesss you were in close proximity to lorenzo then he stood up straightening "alright thank you men" he gave a curt nod turning to sage "ever seen the inside of the castle?" he tilted his head a smirk sprawled across his face

Sage had nodded when Lorenzo offered up his own name, a small smile accompanying a grunt of acknowledgement. He had taken the name into account, and hadn't expected the handshake, so when Lorenzo reached for him he leaned away instinctively for a moment before realizing what he was doing and reaching forward to take his hand. "Right," he noted with a nod, still processing the information whalen he was told to follow. He just gave Lorenzo an odd look, but his curiosity was too strong despite the heavy tiredness weighing on his shoulders, so he shifted to follow him. It was slow, since he was exhausted and everything hurt, but he was following. He edged around the guard cautiously as they emerged, eyeing them admittedly a little nervously as Lorenzo talked to....whoever he was talking to. He didn't know names or positions. He didn't really care to either. When Lorenzo turned to him and spoke, he thought surely he misheard, so after a moment of staring at the other man dumbfounded by the question, he just shook his head. "What," he asked, though it was the no Lorenzo was asking for. It just....held a lot of confusion in it too. His brain was slowing down...he should probably pass out somewhere for a while, not wander around, but he really was curious now. Admittedly, it was mostly about Lorenzo.

(so sorry for late responses i pulled extra shifts!)
Lorenzo grabbed sage arm "c'mon then" he practically dragged sage through out the camp then through the village making his way to the huge castle he paused at the gate before it opened and he dragged sage inside...
"guards.. get sage some.. new clothes these ones are ripped.. and well quite frankly smell.." he looked over.. shrugging clearly not even realizing what was coming out of his mouth shortly after guards came back with a change of more modern fancier clothes for sage.. "might be to big but head into that room and change " he nodded as he pointed straightening up his posture his blue eyes hardening the gaze apon sage as he watched him intently

(it's all good, I'm doing much the same thing atm haha) Sage really wasn't sure what was happening, but he let Lorenzo tug him down along through the village. Despite the fact that he was dragging him, he did notice that he was careful to keep it at a pace sage could go at without his side hurting too much, which he appreciated. Even so, when they finally stopped inside the castle, he had to double over for a moment to catch his breath, obviously exhausted from the effort of moving around again. He threw a side eyes glance at Lorenzo when his clothes were mentioned, but he knew he was right, so he could t really grumble about it. "Part of my charm," he noted dryly, sort of freezing for a moment when the new clothes were handed to him. They were tossed so casually, but he'd never had anything nearly as expensive at these. Even so, despite every warning bell imringing in his head, he trusted Lorenzo. So, he shifted into the bathroom, where he changed out of his old clothes, and used an old ckoth from the cabinet to wipe himself off best he could - he didn't want to ruin them with dirt or blood from his body. His head was hurting too, so he took out the tightly braided hairstyle he used for combat, instead re-braiding it into a single loose braid before emerging again, admittedly much more comfortable despite the slightly too big clothes.

When sage had exitted the other room entering the first one lorenzo was holding a white fluffy cat "this is hilda.. no one hurts hilda" he said in a matter of fact tone before glancing over sage "your hair .. we'll find someone to style it later.. " he continued to glance over the clothes hung off sage body.. but clearly after some food and maybe a good work out sage woould fit right into them "well.. lets head to the nurse for them to lok at your side properly.." he grabbed sage dragging him once more only this time he held a cat in his other arm.. after a few minutes of endless speed walking around the huge castle they had finally reached the medic room he opened the door practically shoving sage in he looked at the nurses pointed at sage then nodded "i want him in tip top shape asap" he turned away getting a package of saltine crackers handing them to sage "something to munch on"

Sage had chuckled softly when he noticed the cat, reaching over to pat it gently. He'd always wanted a cat or a dog, but he lived in a military barrack....so that hadn't really ever been possible. He made a mental note to find the cat as often as he could, if he was to be staying here. He just wrinkled his nose slightly with a grunt when he mentioned his hair, and then the nurse, letting him tug him along through the hallways. He didn't really have the energy to resist. He didn't have the energy to resist the nurses much either, so he let them do... Whatever they were doing. Some shots, an IV with fluids and electrolytes and other stuff he wasn't sure of, and of course they'd cleaned, stitched, and bandaged his side, as well as a few other scrapes and such he'd acquired in battle. Once they'd left him though, he was sitting on a bed in the med bay,and he was exhausted, so he just flopped over and passed out.

"strange boy.." he covered sage up.. holding hilda and walking out.. hours past.. when sage had finally risen from his slumber lorenzo was in a very heated discussion with his father.. some arguement about the knights and needing better soldiers.. then lorenzo stormed off sitting on the outside garden pier.. he sat patting hilda competely forgetting about sage in the moment.. until his mind wandered back thinking 'wonder if hes awake' he shrugged tossing himself onto his back watching the clouds groaning ludly as he rubbed his face his hair messy bees surrounding and landing on nearby flowers lorenzo clearly was not happed, despite he got up picking up hilda and making his way down to the medic cent stopping and talking to some people on the way down until he finally landed on sage room knocking as he entered "wakey wakey.."
