(AWH ITS SO CUTE) Elias had more of an, Heartful smile once emery walked in and asked for her usual. He looked at her hair, shiny and perfect. he though to himself. -why is it so damn hard to not look at you?- They had a small conversation and he ran his fingers through his hair, it moving back and then back into position. His eyes remained on emery. His body swayed nervously his small chuckle made everything more cozy. "So the usual is your iconic white chocolate mocha?" He was finishing up a customer's order. "Order for Kevin?" He sets it on the window. He leaned onto the counter. "Yknow my arms are still sore from that stunt the other day." He teased, not meaning it as an offensive thing or even a upset way. Okay, he needs to take a deep breath. Emery sat down in the same spot every day. He was helping others but his mind kept returning to one person... Emery. Edited at November 30, 2025 05:56 PM by Asteria

She noticed his smile brightened when he saw her, the way he pushed his hair back, the way he swayed nervously, all of it. Emery smiled when he asked if she wanted her usual, nodding. "Hm, didn't realize i'd been coming long enough for you to know my usual." She mused, laughing at his comment on his arms still hurting. "Well look, now we're talking how we used to, instead of plain ignoring you. Might as well have to spill it on you again," The woman chuckled, grabbing her coffee. "Thanks, Elias." She said gratefully, turning and walking over to her usual seat, sitting down as she pulled out her MacBook and started working on homework from school. Her gaze kept shifting over to him, catching his a few time before smiling softly at him then turning back to the illuminated screen.

(say this part was before she grabbed it aka the coffeee part ) white choclate mocha for Emery! he shouted for her, a she grabbed her coffee their hands touched slighty. He returned to his job, emery returned to her table. He left a note on the cup. "Your so Brew-tiful" He was flirting already? I guess they really connected then huh? He finished the long line of people and was wiping off the counter, his sleeves were pulleed up revealing the nasty red burn marks. He had an airpod in. His dad walks down greeting him and commenting about his work and dissmissing him for the day. He got up from behind the counter and teasingly threw a paper airplaine at emery. Emery had eventually finished the coffee and homework, feeling something poke her forearm as she shut her laptop. She looked down and saw the airplane, eyes landing on Elias and her just chuckling and shaking her head lightly, walking over. His dad saw her, expression lighting up. "Emery?" He questioned, Em nodding as the man smiled. "Really? Last time I saw you, you towered over Elias. Oh how times change, am I right?" He mused, nudging her arm with his elbow and a chuckle. "Good to see you again, Mr. Rowan." She said simply, the man walking off as she looked back to Elias with a flat expression. "'You're brewtiful', really?'' Em teased, laughing lightly.

Hey, im no comedian! he chuckled back, running his hands through his hair. He was nervous again. They talked till the shop closed, 10pm. He walked with her to her house 2 miles from where he lived, they talked and laughed, smiled and emery tripped once or twive making both of them topple over. They were on her street walking still. The stars shined, he looked at emery, his eyes locked on her smiling eyes as he looked back up. Sure is pretty. the wind picked up, getting chillier. they came across a small little tuxedo kitten. emery dropped down to look at the kitten while elias was leaning against a tree huddled under his scarf.

"Brr," She shivered, clutching her arms as she regretted wearing a t-shirt, looking over at Elias and seeing how he wasn't cold, wishing she'd done what he'd done. She tripped again, trying to catch herself on his arm before dragging him down as well, laughing as she stood. "Whoops," The woman managed through laughs, eventually stopping as she saw a flash of movement. A kitten walked out in front of them, Em walking forward towards it before picking it up and walking back over to him. "Poor thing, can we run to the shelter real quick?" Emery asked, looking up at Elias, the man towering over her.

"Ooh, means you'll have a little pet to keep you company." She chuckled, holding onto his arm and pressing against him to keep herself warm. When Elias asked if she wanted to stay, she thought for a moment, nodding and looking up at him. "Please do, my parents are out of town and I don't have any company." Emery explained, unlocking the door and walking inside.

He walks inside, the wind outside picking up, he takes the kitten out of his pocket. She needs a name.. He thought of one, Mabye Iris? He asked Em, a soft smile, The kitten Meowed softly, clearly hungry. What do kittens eat? he rubs his neck wondering. He fixed his hair , it messed up from the wind. He watched em slowly, the way she was gentle with the kitten, the way she clung to him for warmth, he thought to himself. -Why am i already getting attracted to you - he took off his sweatshirt, he had on a plain black tee, with a silver chain, His burn marks have already scarred over, A darker color than his skin. making it obvious. He texted him parents: Ill be back home tommorow. then he looked down at em.

Emery turned towards him as Elias took his sweatshirt off, revealing the dark wounds on his arms. "Oh my--I did that?! Elias I am so sorry, please, do let me find something to help with them.. . . after I get this kitten somewhere." She mused, eventually finding an old dog crate and putting water inside before looking for something to feed it. "What do cats eat again?" She questioned, remembering the task of finding something for his wounds but pushing it aside as she found a bag of cat food they used to give to strays. "Huh, didn't know we even had this." The woman noted, pouring some into a bowl and setting it into the crate, putting the cat down inside before shutting the gate. "Okay, got that taken care of. Let me go find something for those burns," She excused herself, walking over to a medicine cabinet and grabbing an ointment she used or simple things, such as burning her hand while cooking, straightening her ear instead of her hair, and tripping over a heater in her room upstairs. Emery walked back into the kitchen, ushering Elias into a chair at the dining table, and sitting beside him. The woman grabbed the ointment, dipping her fingers into it before taking his wrist in her other hand, adjusting his arm to where most of the wounds were facing her. "Might sting a little," She warned, smearing the stuff on.
