Jason's phone lit up on the table right next to him. It was an incoming call from someone, he guessed Esme. He picked up the line with a soft hello and reconized her voice.

"Hello, Sir? I'm Esme, the waitress from the cafe,"
| |

"Oh, hello. I was hoping it was you." He mused with a soft chuckle. "So, I have a position open for housemaid, so cooking, cleaning, and organizing I'd need you to do. Can you do that? Pay is $100 a day, plus living quarters and food."

"Yes, of course, that sounds excellent! When would you like me to start?"
| |

"Tommorow if at all possible." He asked, getting his response and ending the call, throwing the phone across the couch in relief.

"Yeah, sure, I'll see you tomorrow sir," she hummed excitedly before getting ready for bed. The next morning she arrived at his place, right on time.

Jason opened the door for her right on time, letting her in as all the maids and buttlers stopped, bowed or curtesied in respect, and went back to their tasks. "So," Jason said, his voice light from the drink he had this morning, "I need a maid for the kitchen or a maid for the meeting-plus-dining room. Your pick." He pointed to the huge marble dining room, lined with fancy chairs, or the nice, wide kitchen with quite a lot of counter space and a huge fridge and freezer. Jason smiled, waiting for her to choose.

"Um, I guess I'll take the kitchen," she said, it was where she was most comfortable.
| |

"Ok. There is a shelf of cookbooks, and I can buy any ingredients we don't have." Jason smiled at her softly. "Well, enjoy yourself." And with that he turned around and walked out the door to a meeting about stocks and stuff he wasn't looking forward to.

Esme nodded, "Okay, thank you, sir," she dipped her head to him as he left. After he'd gone, she looked around the kitchen, cataloging what they had, and where everything was. The kitchen was rather messy and disorganized, so she took everything out of the cabinets and rearranged everything so that it was all logical. After she'd finished, she cleaned the kitchen thoroughly until it was spotless. By then, it was time for her to start making his dinner, so she began preparing a steak with potatoes and green beans, hustling around the kitchen happily cooking away.
