He tipped his head, expecting a smooth dance. By the looks of her calm, it was going to be such. He started humming along trusting her to know the steps because he sure as hell couldn't see shit, exept now, her eyes. When the light cast over them, he noticed the saffron glow. He turned, switching hands, now he watched her with the other eye. His cape startled with every sharp movement, it made him look much more imposing than he truly was. Though it was hiding his skilled movements from the crowd, he did not care. The maiden could see it and she was the only one who needed to.

Ariadne was having a hard time figuring out what color his eyes were as she stared openly at them, switching directions smoothly once they finished a rotation. It was surprisingly intimate, to only see his eyes, which were shadowed greatly by the skull shielding his face from her. She shifted her stance as they finished another rotation, interlacing her fingers gently with his as she turned to face him again, giving him his opportunity to lead. Meanwhile, Vance was still off at the bar, making conversation with a random female vampire he had hooked, half his focus on the pair at the center of the ballroom. He wouldn't say he was jealous of his sister, but he would say he wished he had approached the interesting man before her. If it weren't his sister dancing with the elf, he most definitely would have been attempting to do the same. Siblings have similiar tastes, it seems. He carefully pulled his hand out of her grasp, so it would lay on his, he intended to kiss it but he didn't exactly have his lips out, so he pressed it against the cold skull. Then lifted her hand over her head, guiding her into a quick twirl. As she came back he took her other hand, pulling her close, their chests nearly touching. Turning around the crowd as methodical footwork started, cut short as he pushed her away, twirling her again.

Ariadne let him shift her hand, worried she had messed up the steps somehow when he simply lifted it to his lips. Or, what would have been his lips. She let out a light noise of amusement, most similiar to a soft giggle as the cold skull brushed against her hand. She twirled easily as he lifted his hand over her head, looking utterly happy as she got pulled into his chest again. She offered him a light, eager smile as she stared up at him, following his lead well. She followed his steps as the more footwork intensive portion began. She moved lightly for him as he pushed her out into a spin, letting her gown spin around her in a slight spiral of red.

He let an eye roam at the crowd, pleased. He pulled her back closer, now locking their hands. One on her upper waist in a quick movement, her arm resting atop of his. He appeared to have practiced this quite well, enjoying the company of someone who was the same way as he started to lead her around the open room, in wide, floating circles. She was right in his blind spot so all he could do was have it aimed at her. He was rather amused by this blindness he'd chosen. He'd have to re-think this one.

Ariadne settled closer in his arms than was perhaps strictly nescessary, simply moving to not only the music, but the comfort of having an experienced dance partner. She didn't often get the chance to dance with others, unless she convinced Vance to dance with her on the off occasion. She followed him lightly as they span around the room, her hands on him light.

He had little to no thoughts on his mind, just humming and making sure he missed no steps. If he dropped her he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to will himself to come back to Epirus. He slowed down a little so twirl her individually. Her dress was fun to watch as he swept her back up to spin with him. His hands were well placed, good grip but lose body.

Ariadne noted the soft hum coming from him, not curious enough to ask, but enjoying it nonetheless. It was soothing. She trusted him completely; when it came to dancing, anyway. Falling wasn't anywhere in her mind. She twirled out lightly when he asked, taking a breath when she came back. All of the spinning was starting to get the slightest bit disorienting.

He too was getting a little dizzy but he kind of wanted to see how long she could go. He pushed her away, pushing her into another individual spin. Enjoying the floating feeling. He was doing a great job at keeping up with her. She was starting to get a little looser, figuring the floor was spinning, not just them.

Ariadne wasn't even near ready when her companion tossed her into another spin. She managed, cutting it slightly short and bringing her body a little roughly back to his. She blinked for a moment, her arm gripping at his bicep gently in an 'oh, shit' gesture. She leaned on him for a second, staring at his chest and then bringing her gaze back to him once everything stopped spinning.
