Riptide ran his good hand through his hair, looking sad and anxious. "No- no I can't stay. It wouldn't be right. I'm sorry for bothering you." He said quickly, lowering his head and opening the door to leave. "My family is dead. So have fun." Ripp mumbled quietly, a little lie. They were dead to him. He turned and walked out, feeling sadness prick at his heart. He would never have a friend- no one wanted to be friends with a Kelpie. Kelpies were said to be dangerous and cruel.

Izzy felt sorry for him. "No, really. You should stay the night, otherwise your shoulder is just going to get worse." She paused for a moment. "Unless you'd prefer to go to the hospital?" It wasn't the best way to convince John but he'd get hurt and Izzy did NOT want to live with that guilt. "I'm sorry about your family," she whispered quietly. Now she felt even more guilty (is guiltier a word?) for wanting to get rid of him in the first place.

Riptide hesitated a moment, but he WAS a Kelpie. It was be wrong to stay in a humans house. "You've helped me enough, really, and I'm grateful, but I really shouldn't stay... I know I didn't explain my wound and that's because it wouldn't make any sense to you, and it'll just be more confusing if I tell you what happened. And I can't go to the hospital." He said quietly, closing his eyes for a moment and thinking it through. "Don't be. They were horrible anyway." Ripp let out a small snort at her words. He wasn't going to take advantage of her kindness. "I promise I'll be okay. I guess... well... hopefully I'll see you later under better circumstances." He smiled faintly before disappearing in the woods. Ripp walked a ways before deciding not to go back to the water tonight... in case Whirlpool was there, he was too tired to properly defend himself and he wouldn't know how to explain with more wounds. He sat down under a tree with a wince, looking up in the sky with a quiet sigh.

(Hee hee lol, gonna go check it out. Probably gonna get 1 XD) Izzy sighed, giving in. It looked like John wasn't going to change his mind. She hoped he wouldn't get injured again. Izzy gestured towards the door. "I'm not stopping you." Izzy turned and went upstairs to her room. For the rest of the afternoon all she could think about was John, his strange bite mark and how odd he had been acting. Soon, it was evening and, restless, Izzy got up and pulled a jacket over her short, deciding to go out for a walk. (Sorry, low on ideas)

Riptide bowed his head, his black hair falling in curls over his forehead as he let out a slow sigh. His shoulder hurt, and the small scrape on his head hurt, but what hurt most was his heart. Meeting Izzy... well, she was beautiful and amazing for one, and she helped him even when she didn't know who he was, even when he was suspicious, but it also made him feel sad. Sad knowing he wasn't going to have a friend. Sad to know he was never going to get a girlfriend. never going to get married, never going to have kids. He would be lonely his whole life, all because he was a Kelpie. Ripp sighed, deciding he'd better go back to the water. He stood and walked towards the lake, taking off his black shirt and tucking it under a bush before shifting into the majestic black stallion that was his Kelpie form. He then dove into the crystal clear waters, sinking to the deep.

(NOOOO, I feel so bad for Ripp!) Izzy walked near the lake again, retracing her steps from earlier that morning. As she gazed put across the clear blue water, she wished she had been able to get to know John. After moving away from the city, Izzy was lonely. It hurt to know that she never saw her friends anymore because she was too far away, that in time she would be like a stranger to them. At least she had Rover but he wasn't a person, someone she could connect with. If only John hadn't been in such a rush.... Izzy sighed, wondering where he was now. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sudden loud noise of a car engine. She turned around, a car coming towards her. She covered her eyes in the bright light when it stopped a few metres in front of Izzy. The door swung open and a young-ish man stepped out.

Riptide sighed, feeling chillier than normal in the cold water of the lake. Usually the liquid soothed his aching bones, but not now. Now he just felt lonely in the dark, cold depths. Not wanting to be near where the fight was, he swam up to the shallows, until he was walking on the rocks. Ripp's hooves clattered quietly on the stones, where he laid down in the shallow water, feeling it gently lapping against his smooth coat. He lowered his muzzle, breathing out another snort, his hot breath misting in the cool night air. Suddenly he heard a car, which alarmed him because not many people lived out here. He stood and trotted into the forest, his ears pricked for sound or movement.
