As Kyle walked through the door, letting it gently close behind him, a body ran into him. He quickly saved the glasses and let out a growl before looking at the person who had ran into him. "You should watch where you are going more or else-," Kyle stops as he looks at the man and suddenly the man's scent hits him. He then quickly stops him from running away by holding both drinks in one hand again and grabbing his shoulder. He then stands there silent for a while, his face slowly shifting from anger to neutral then one of curiosity. "I'm sorry," he says after a few more minutes, "I have a problem with my anger occasionally..." He looks the man up and down again, taking in his entire form.

Tucker was about to run off when a force stopped him. Looking down at his shoulder, he noticed a hand. He turned around, still not meeting the other's gaze. "I-I really am sorry" he apologizes again after he scolded him. When the other started to explain, Tucker felt like he had to accept that it was his own fault. This man had an heir of power, which meant he was likely an alpha or beta, and thus superior to him. He was shaking slightly, the tone of voice from the man caused him to be slightly afraid. "I-it was my fault. I-I can make it up to you" he replied, still refusing to meet his gaze. He then shifted nervously, unsure of what the other would do. He hoped he wouldn't get hit for his mistake. He knew betas and alphas could get offended easily.

Kyle listened to the male speak and noted the shakiness in his voice. "No need to apologize so much," he says to the man, "and as for making it up to me.. How about just a nice talk and a drink?" He holds his hand forward with one of the glasses to offer it to the other. Kyle tried to make his voice seem more familiar for the other, as he assumed that it had something to do with his nervousness. Sadly it was almost impossible for Kyle to change his tone as it was also a natural sternness. When he was younger people would compliment him, the future alpha, for having such a strong and stern voice. Now as an adult and alpha of the Northern Pack, though, people often feared him for it. Along with his natural looks, Kyle was one of the more feared alphas of the packs.

Tucker looked up at the unexpected answer. The other told him that he didn't need to make it up, and this was different from the other answers he got when he made a mistake. Knowing he couldn't refuse, he agreed "S-sure, of course" he said taking the drink. "Is there anything you want from me? I'm sure the party is much more exciting" he asks, hoping he wasn't stepping out of line by asking without prompting. He still refused eye contact; he was naturally submissive and quiet. The stranger's scent was soothing though, something that was almost unexpected compared with his tone of voice. He glanced up at the other's hand, still holding the other glass, before looking back down at the ground.

Kyle smiled some as the man took the drink. "No, no," he says with a shake of his head, "I'm fine being out here with you." He pauses a moment before saying, "The name is Kyle. Kyle Darmon. I am the alpha of the Northern Pack, although you probably already figured that out from my scent. And who may you be?" As Kyle is speaking to the man he feels his wolf stir inside of him. The scent of the male made his wolf very excited. He knew that the only reason the man's scent effected his wolf like this was because he was his mate. Although he wasn't sure if this new male knew this or not.

Tucker was skeptical of the other's answer. No one would actively search him out, only accidentally run into him. He never was one that others actively sought to interact with. He was unsure of why this stranger would want to talk with him. He felt weird around this other, his wolf seems to perk up, but he was unsure what that meant. Why? It was making this situation even more strange. The other announced himself as an alpha, like Tucker had earlier assumed. The name made him feel weird. Kyle, it suited the other. "I am T-Tucker. An omega of the Eastern pack" he replied, stuttering slightly. He rarely interacted with other packs, so he was unsure of their customs and expectations. He continued to look at the ground.

-An omega- Kyle thinks as he gazes at the other, -so that is why he is nervous. And he is from the Eastern Pack? Interesting. It has been a while since there have been mates between packs.- "Well it is a pleasure to meet you Tucker," he says with a slight bow before standing upright again, "if you don't mind me asking though, why are you not in there enjoying the celebration with the rest of your pack?" He gestured with a small nod towards the door where the faint sound of music could be heard from. As he awaited an answer he took a sip of his drink. A part of him found it interesting that his destined mate was from a separate pack but another part was happy, since the Northern and Eastern Packs had been at peace with one another for as many years as Kyle could remember. The few wolves that had shared mates from another pack had mostly been between these two packs, which made their peace even easier.

Tucker nods, "it's nice to meet you too" he replies quietly. He was unsure of how to answer his question though. As he originally escaped to get away from him. How was he supposed to tell this alpha without insulting him. "I don't really enjoy large gatherings like that" he answers. While it was true, it wasn't the reason he was hiding. "You should get back to the party. There must be others missing you" he said, his tone suggesting but not demanding by any means. He didn't want to be blamed for Alpha Kyle's disappearance. He looked around, the ground was very interesting. He was unsure of how to continue the conversation. He fidgeted with his fingers, waiting for a response.

Kyle listened to the omega talk and nodded some in understanding. "I understand," he says, "big gatherings must be hard for omegas like you. All of those different scents and auras from alphas and betas must make it hard to enjoy yourself." He the paused at the omega's statement about him going back to the party. He stared at him for a few more moments before asking, "You seem awfully worried about getting me to leave. Is there something you are hiding? Or perhaps you are trying to avoid someone? You know you can tell me if something is wrong. Even though I am an alpha and look very... well scary you can trust me to help you if you need it."

Tucker nodded, looking around at everything but at Kyle. When Kyle asked about why he wanted him to leave, Tucker now starting to panic. What did this other want with him? Why wasn't he leaving him alone? He still didn't trust this other. "I-I" he couldn't bring himself to tell the truth- that he didn't want to get in trouble, and he didn't want to be scolded. Instead, he quickly turned and ran away from Kyle. He ran until he didn't scent Kyle anymore- his scent was now faint. He opened a door, he didn't know what it would lead to but he had to escape. The door led to a dark room. He quickly entered and closed the door. He shook slightly in fear.
