Luke smiled after Xavier said he could help him. Once the bell rang, he stood, following Xavier outside the doors of the classroom. He stuck close to Xavier's side, his arm brushing with his. "Don't you have to sit with your Stefanie friend?" He asked, knowing very well to never say "girlfriend" when it has clearly been established by one (or both) of the two that they were not dating. Plus, saying Xavier was dating, well, anyone, would pain Luke very much. He would much rather live in his fantasy of being with Xavier. "Sorry, I had been a bit nosy and looked at what she messaged you. Didn't mean to be invasive." Stopping by his locker with speed, Luke dropped his Chromebook off, and rushed back to Xavier's side. Like a dog. A very, very love-strucken dog.

"Oh its no problem and no I don't have to go sit with her. I'm going to let that popular b!tch deal with it." He says smugly. Walking with Luke. He doesn't drip off his laptop incase he might been it to hack into something. "Also I heard early that you rode? What do you do?" He asks kindly, with a small smile. He's usually awkward in situations like these but talking with Luke is... different. To say the least. Edited at November 26, 2023 08:21 AM by Black Beauty Stables

It's fine lol )) "Oh, yeah. I'm a barrel racer, and a western rider. I don't like English very much. So I ride my Friesian in those events. You ride too, right? What do you ride in?" Luke actually rode in everything, but he wasn't about to go and explain that he was working for himself to show horses. He was just going to keep quiet and make it seem like he was a basic western boy. In which he wishes he was. He didn't want to be everything. He wanted to be basic, not complicated.

He smiled at Luke's response, "I ride English funny enough. And I also have a Friesian." He says laughing a little. "Let's see, I also do everything at times, but me and Daunte are better at jumping" Xavier tells him thoughtfully. He looks over and smiles at him before asking, "What's your horses name? Mines a stallion named Daunte. As you know." He says, gazing into Luke's beautiful eyes.

Luke listened to Xavier talk, mesmerized by his voice. "Yeah, I have a gelding named Roach. Well, not Roach. I call him Roach, because he's my little roach. His real name is Picasso." Luke tried to explain it without dragging on for too long, stopping short when he thought Xavier had heard enough. He didn't want Xavier to think he talked to much, because then he wouldn't like him. This would be his only shot!

Xavier smilrs at the nickname. "Anyway" Xavier continues turning the corner. "How's life been? We haven't talked in a while." He asks smoothly. He didn't know why but talking to Luke was... easier. He seemed more at home with him their. He smiled at Luke, waiting for an answer. He ran a hand through his messy hair, pulling it out of his face. Then dropping it back there. He continued to walk with Luke waving at one of the guys he new from art class and went on. He was pretty popular, but oblivious, to say the least. Almost everyone had or has a crush on him a some point. He was kind of like the boy Stefanie. He didn't know though. He thought everyone was just friendly with him. Luke shrugged, smiling lightly at Xavier, though it faltered slightly when he asked about how life was going. It was... bad, to say the absolute least. It was terrible. To sum it over, his parents had gotten divorced, now his dad was dying, and his mom refused to take him to the ranch (but since he had just gotten his liscence it didn't matter as much anymore). As well as typical problems like bullying, finances, etc. (Don't get me wrong, Luke was very liked around school. He just didn't really have friends, just a bunch of friendly aqquantices.) Luke took a deep inhale, and continued to smile. "Great, actually. Life's going great. How's life for you?" His voice had its usual sweetness, but had a tang of... something. Unrecognizable.

Xavier was suspicious. Something was off about the way Luke had said that.... he decides to drop the matter though and focus on the question. "Ah, it was, wonderful." He says with a smile, it was a lie. -His parents got a divorce, his sister moved to Europe, and his mom got custody of them. Yeah Luke, it's great.- He thinks sadly. He doesn't let his smile waver though as they walk through the halls, Xavier waving to others and talking with Luke easily.

"were both lying, aren't we?" He asked, smiling and waving at one friend of his. He only had a few class friends. Otherwise he was pretty much by himself, ever really having the motivation or patience to hang out with anyone but horses and... Well, Xavier, he guessed. He blushed a bit. Xavier. Life wasn't good, but Xavier was.
