Oops... What... Wait... Darn it. Perfect. Victoria left, and Tyra was angry. Yay. "...what?" Quinn asked questioningly. She was more confused then annoyed now. And slightly curious as to why Tyra said that... that Rain was raised differently. "I- that's not..." Quinn said slowly as Tyra continued talking about the resturant and woods. "Okay Tyra, calm down. I am sorry, we can go to the resturant, I won't say anything and I will keep my mouth shut, please rethink leaving for now." Quinn finally raised a hand, walking closer. She didn't want Tyra to be angry, especially the first day she was in town. Even if it meant keeping her opinion inside and giving Rain a chance, who seemed quite agitated. "Tyra, really, wait. I am sorry, and I am apologizing now..." Quinn trailed off, shaking her head. Talk about blowing it. She actually felt slightly sad... -Gosh Quinn, why can't you just be normal and kind for once?- Quinn silently cursed herself, siging to turn away Edited at May 13, 2023 04:04 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Tyra ignored Quinn completely, and it was Rain who had to make the girl stop, even though when she did turn to look at him he noticed the look in her eye and glanced back at Quinn before hurrying to push Tyra behind a couple of nearby trees. He crouched in front of the girl, watching as her little face contorted to fit the growing teeth in her mouth, and how she gritted her teeth as she glared down at him, her eyes glowing a faint yellow." You need to calm down, Ty. Quinn apologized, and it wouldn't do you any good to fight her in broad daylight. You'd kill her, you know that. C'mon, I thought you said you were best friends?" He was rambling, trying to get the girl to come back to herself, and only successfully making the girl let out a low hiss. " Don't be like that. You two are best friends." He commented before rubbing along her chin, hoping it would calm the girl down. Thankfully, it did, and in no time the girl was back to her normal self. Her eyes were no longer yellow, back to their original blue, and her teeth were still sharp but that always took a while to go away so he wasn't worried. " I try, sometimes I really do try not to." She murmured, her teeth gritting together again." But I'm a cat, and whenever she says stuff like...like that about someone or about me how am I supposed to pretend that I don't want to just..." She trails off, but the extended claws stretched through her fingernails spoke loud enough. Rain whimpered, the sound vaguely wolf-like, as he brought the small woman into a hug." Hey, your still best friends. You can't hurt your own friends." " Rain not everyone is a wolf like you. You leave a scar on me and your crying for a week, I scratch someone's eyes out and sleep peacefully that night." The girl grumbled, but leaned into his hug either way." She just got here and I got mad. God...I'm such a bad friend."

Quinn watched them walk away. So much for that. She did feel bad... but she also wondered why Tyra had gotten like that. It looked like her eyes glowed yellow, and Quinn could have sworn she had fangs. Quinn shook that thought off and walked back home quietly, scrubbing the walls before tightening the leak on the sink and fixing that rather quickly. She then checked to make sure she had her dagger before stepping outside and stalking into the woods. Maybe Tyra was right... maybe she was just a little girl that ran off into the woods whenever something frustrated her. Even that thoight made her angry. Quinn's shoulders slumped slightly with defeat as she walked through the woods, thinking. She had never meant to make Tyra mad... what if Tyra just couldn't take her anymore and didn't want to be her friend? Then Quinn would be left with absolutely no friends and a broken heart beause she was too cruel and stubborn to be nice. Quinn slammed her fist against a tree in anger, flexing it as blood started to well up. She didn't care... she probably deserved the pain anyway. Quinn kept walking through the woods, tracing a tenative hand along her scar on her cheek. She sank down beneath a shady oak and sighed, putting her head in her hands. "What have I done...?" Quinn muttered to herself, forcing the tears that were trying to prick her eyes to go away

Rain walked Tyra halfway back to her house before he caught the sound of something, looking at Tyra who grumbled and kept walking, even though he knew she'd heard it too. He shivered at the thought of her ever getting mad at him. That would be a nightmare. With that in mind he quietly left her side, trailing after the sound of sniffling until he came across a woman, who he guessed was Quinn from the looks of her boots and almost all black outfit. "Hey, are you-" He paused suddenly, eyes narrowing at the dagger she had, gulping as he kept his distance." You good?" Edited at May 13, 2023 04:54 PM by Nebula Stables

Quinn heard the faint footsteps again. Even though she had only met him once, she knew it was Rain. Quinn glanced up, stood, and sheathed her dagger quickly. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said quietly, wondering why he had got so spooked by the dagger. -Maybe he's a normal human being that doesn't like pointy things?- Quinn thought wryly. It felt like Rain wasn't that kind of guy, though. Was there another reason? Quinn studied him for any other emotion. She kept her bloody fist somewhat behind her, not wanting to explain that she punched a tree. By his expression... she kind of had a weird feeling he might suddenly pounce on her and take her dagger or something. It was a different feeling, that's for sure. Rain was probably the one person that made Quinn slightly uncomfortable... she shifted slightly and kept her gaze on him. Edited at May 13, 2023 05:00 PM by Wild Warmbloods

He watched as she sheathed the weapon, still keeping his distance as he nodded, looking her over once again before his eyes widened and he cautiously walked closer to her. He crouched down like he did for Tyra, except he tried to keep most of his body angled away from her. " Your hurt." He noted, eyes wandering past her to the hand behind her that he could smell was dripping blood. The smell of it made him nauseous, ironically, and he tried not to whimper as he gestured for her to hold her hand out as he pulled out some sterilizing wipes and wraps." These trees aren't good to be letting open wounds be around. It'd get infected almost instantly with all the-" he paused again." the...bacteria."

Quinn watched Rain caustiously. What... was he... doing? She stayed very still, not really knowing what to do. Quinn had been around animals a lot, and she knew this behavior. He was acting a lot like a wolf. -No... that couldnt be right- Quinn thought, glancing back at Rain as he spoke. "Yes..." Quinn slowly said, tipping her head slightly. He couldn't see her wound... yes, blood was dripping but still. Rain acted like he could smell it. Normal humans don't smell blood. "Right.. I do know that, I was going to go back home and wrap it up..." Quinn said quietly, wondering why he even cared. It wasn't like she had been the nicest person around.

" Oh...well looks like I beat you to it." He mumbled awkwardly, not sure how to explain to Quinn that if she'd left a trail of blood in the forest, no matter how small the cut was, he probably wouldn't be the only one freaking out all night. It was almost a full moon, which meant more wolves came out, and the smell of a supposedly injured creature would only stress everyone out." Hopefully this stops the sm-the smearing. You know, because if it's dripping and someone happens to come by it'd smear right?" He chuckled awkwardly, his face flushing as he stood back up." Anyways, uh, It'll be getting dark soon so you should probably be heading back now. Wouldn't want you to run into a coyote or something." Or me, as a wolf, he thought.

Quinn arched an eyebrow, but she did allow Rain to treat the wound. "Of course... thanks." She said slowly, nodding her head and trying to pretend she had not heard his trip. "No... I would hate running into a 'coyote' at this time of night." Quinn offered a small smile and left quickly, ready to go into her cabin. The moment she got there she found a bunch of old books on human hybrids... because Quinn knew Rain wasn't normal. It was quite interesting, really.

Rain watched the girl run off before sniffing again and grinning, his metaphorical tail wagging as he raced off towards a small creak. His knee this place well, and knew the small brown wolf sitting there waiting for him, it's tail wagging as he hurried over. "Ah, little sis!" He smiled, petting the wolfs fur as it whines and rolled around, licking at his hands and arms.
